1. BUILD STRONG!
Did you know your body is busy growing
and building all the time? When you notice
your hair or nails have gotten longer, that is
because your body has been busy building.
When a cut or scrape heals that too is your
body building and growing your skin for
you. Your body is also busy growing on the
inside. Your muscles, bones, heart,
everything about you is always growing!
How does your body do all this growing?
Well, your body uses the food you eat to do
all of this. That means what you eat is very
important.
Do you know the story about the
Three Little Pigs? Remember how each little
pig built a house? Why do you think the
wolf was able to blow down the first two
houses? Do you think they used the right
stuff to build their houses? No, using straw
or sticks is not the best idea when building a
house is it? But what about the third little
pig? He built his house with the right
material. It was so strong that the wolf could
not blow it down.
It is the same for your body. Your body
needs the right material to build you the
strongest it can. That means you need to eat
enough of the right foods every day. Here
are some ways you can help your body grow
and build strong
Eat 3 different kinds of fruit every
day.
Eat 3 different kinds of vegetables
every day.
Drink milk with lunch and dinner.
