INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK:- Benchmark indices BSE

Sensex and NSE’s Nifty 50 closed lower on Friday following
losses in financial stocks offsetting gains in auto stocks. The
Indian rupee on Friday extended its gains for the third session
to hit one-month high against the US dollar on higher demand
for the currency from foreign investors. Shares opened
positive after government data showed on Thursday that
India’s economy accelerated to 7.7% in the three months
ended 31 March, the fastest pace in seven quarters. The 10-
year government bond prices declined for the fourth session
as positive GDP data amid raising crude oil raised
expectations of a rate hike by RBI



The Oil prices dropped on Thursday, weighed down by a
surprise rise in U.S. crude inventories and by expectations
that OPEC and other producers could increase output at a
meeting in June. U.S. crude inventories rose by 1 million
barrels in the week, according to data from industry group the
American Petroleum Institute.


Asian Market - Asian markets finished mixed as of the most
recent closing prices. The Hang Seng gained 0.14%, while the
Shanghai Composite led the Nikkei 225 lower. They fell 0.66%
and 0.14% respectively.



U.S. Market - The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 306.33
points, or 1.26 percent, to 24,667.78, the S&P 500 gained 34.15
points, or 1.27 percent, to 2,724.01, and the Nasdaq Composite
added 65.86 points, or 0.89 percent, to 7,462.45.



European markets - European markets are broadly higher
today with shares in France leading the region. The CAC 40 is
up 1.25% while Germany's DAX is up 0.93% and London's
FTSE 100 is up 0.67%.


TVS Motor shares gain after May sales data 
TVS Motor Company Ltd shares rose 1.11% to Rs594.35.
The company said its total sales rose 10% to 309,865 unit
compared to 282,007 unit last year. Two-wheeler sales of
increased to 298,135 unit in May from 275,426 units last
year. Three-wheeler sales of came in at 11,730 units in May
versus 6,581 unit a year ago. Total exports grew by 53.2%
to 62,218 units in May 2018..
Atul Auto shares rise 2% on May sales
number
Atul Auto Ltd shares jumped 2.35% to Rs434.95 after the
company said its total vehicle sales rose 25% to 3,983 units 
in May from 3,184 units last year.
Fortis Healthcare names board chairman
Fortis Healthcare Ltd said its board of directors appointed
Ravi Rajagopal, a non-executive independent director, as
chairman of the Board with immediate effect. Shares were
down 0.71% at Rs145.70.

ONGC shares fall 2%
Oil & Natural Gas Corp. Ltd shares fell 2.3% to Rs173.20
after PTI reported that the government may ask ONGC to
bear fuel subsidy to help cut petrol and diesel prices.
Maruti Suzuki car sales rise 23.1% in
May on back of Swift demand
Continuing its dominance over the Indian car market,
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Friday said its car sales
jumped 23.1% to 144,780 units in May from the year-ago
period. Automakers in India consider dispatches to
dealerships as sales. Shares rose 2.17% to Rs8,719.95.
The compact car segment made up the bulk of Maruti
Suzuki sales in May—growing 50.8% to 77,263 units—
on the back of demand for the 2018 Swift and continued
interest in premium hatchback Baleno and compact
sedan Dzire.
Granules India gets EIR from USFDA, no
observations issued
Granules India Ltd said that USFDA issued establishment
inspection report for the company’s Gagillapur facility in
Hyderabad without any 483 observations. Shares rose
1.08% to Rs79.50.
Bajaj Auto shares gain 2%
Bajaj Auto Ltd shares rose 2.2% to Rs 2811.95 after the
company reported 30% increase in its May sales to 4.07
lakh units from 3.13 lakh units a year ago.
