MARKET WRAP
Indian markets dive down. Nifty, Sensex both lost over 3.50% (w/w) respectively.
Japan, China cushioned markets. US home sales at 4.98M. GBP CPI 2.8% (y/y).
Cyprus bailout throw jitters to world market. US Fed Res goes with existing policy.

Indian markets nosedived this week due to uncertainty hovering over Europe and on
domestic macroeconomic outlook. Cyprus bailout plan was rejected by their parliament,
uncertainty persist. US Fed goes with its existing monetary policies. Economic data of
Germany and France put Euro zone on bearish mode. UK goes with austerity in its
annual budget planning. China and Japan’s data support world markets. Nifty is
expected to be range bound and will move within the spread of 5550 to 5850 level.

India markets continue to shed blood due to fear led by unprecedented political crisis
and the alleged charges of money laundering imposed on private sector banks. KYC
norms will become more stringent, says RBI over AML. DMK, an eminent political party
from Tamil Nadu, pulls out of UPA Govt. RBI cuts repo rate by 25 basis points to set at
7.50%, reverse repo at 6.50%, CRR kept unchanged. Nifty, Sensex witnessed selling
pressure, down by 222 pts and 692 pts to settle at 5651.35 and 18735.60 respectively.

World markets remain wary in their movements over Cyprus bailout logjam and below
par economic data of European countries. US economic data fared low. European
markets go off with FTSE down by -1.49%, CAC by -1.92% & DAX by -1.63%. US
markets too lost its way with S&P down by -0.39%, NASDAQ by -0.24% & DJIA by -
0.12%. Asian markets also ends negative with Hang-Seng down by -1.85%, Jakarta by -
2.00%, KLSE by -0.05%, Straits times by -0.84%, KOSPI by -1.90% & Nikkei by -1.77%.
