Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina contains three popular attractions: The Cradle of Forestry, home to the first forestry school in the US, features exhibits and hiking trails about the history of forestry. Looking Glass Rock and Falls includes a nearly 4,000 foot rock popular for climbing and bird watching, surrounded by waterfalls like Looking Glass Falls. Sliding Rock offers a natural 60-foot water slide that carries visitors down a steep smooth rock into an 8-foot deep pool, enjoyed in summer by children and adults.
