July 20, 2014
Sixth Sunday After Pentecost
Let both grow together until the
harvest, and at the time of
harvest I will say to the reapers,
"First gather together the tares
and bind them in bundles to
burn them, but gather the
wheat into my barn."
Matthew 13:30
2. What did Lydia of Philippi sell? ___________

drop it in the Bible Quiz box in the rear of the sanctuary. A

4. Season of Thanks
During the season of Pentecost, Calvary will be giving thanks for its past;
its present; its future. We will be thanking groups and individuals and
most of all God for the blessings bestowed on Calvary Evangelical
Lutheran Church. We are calling this a Season of Thanks!
During this Season of Thanks each of us, daily, need to remember things
and people for which and whom we are thankful. Even on those days
when everything seems to be falling apart… we can be thankful that
God is there to catch us and protect us …. just like God always does!

15. Reminder – Don’t Forget
Your Name Tag
Not everyone remembers your name. We encourage
everyone to wear their name tags. It helps not only
our visitors, but all of us to put a name to a face.
There are cords to use as lanyards on top of the
mailboxes. Help yourself.
16. Stewardship
God has given each of us unique
gifts and talents. One of the primary
places that God has called us to use
these gifts and talents is through our
vocations. Our vocations may take
the form of a job, but they also include our
callings as mothers, fathers, sisters, friends,
citizens and so much more. These vocations or
callings are the places from which we love God
and our neighbors. How is God calling us, as
individuals and as a congregation, to steward our
gifts and talents through our vocations?
17. Check your church mailbox for Quarterly Giving
Statements. If you did not receive one, please
