1. Being a Good Listener
I think listening is a skill everyone should have, but most people lack it. Many people don't realize that
listening isn't just about hearing sounds, it's about paying close attention to what the other person is
saying and trying to understand the message they're trying to convey. Most of the time people say they
are listening, but in reality they are just listening and not even trying to understand what they are
saying. The benefits of being a good listener are immense. This ability can positively impact many areas
of our daily lives and the way we interact with others. Still, it's a skill often overlooked in today's careless
society. The reason I think listening is so important is that people today have developed an "everyone
for themselves" mind-set. People no longer worry about their fellow human beings. We are only
concerned with our own problems and problems. Listening is a lifelong skill. When it comes to
communication, it's an important virtue. People should be taught from childhood the importance of
listening. I think things will change once you realize how much you can benefit from being a better
listener. Lack of listening affects marriages, parents and children, teachers and students, employers and
employees, foreign policy, and more. If men and women learn to sit down and listen carefully to each
other, many of the misunderstandings that often lead to arguments, breakups, and ultimately divorce
can be avoided. Lack of understanding between children and parents is a very frustrating
situation. Parents are unable to effectively and efficiently raise their children and guide them in
situations that require their attention. If more teachers made efforts to develop good listeners, fewer
children would be overlooked and deprived of a proper education. The ability to listen can prove very
effective in the workplace. Employers are aware of what motivates employees, which in turn motivates
employees to be more productive. In foreign policy, listening can reduce misunderstandings that often
devolve into hostilities that could one day escalate into full-blown war. To be an effective listener, you
need to build the process of listening into your life. We need to pay attention to what people say, be
clear about what the speaker is trying to convey, and respond so that the speaker understands what we
are saying. I think I was aware that I needed to improve in certain areas of this process, but I feel like
things are slowly changing. Instead, I turn off the switch and try to get a more complete picture of what
the person is saying to me.
Good listening can help you get along better with others, be a better parent, and be a better performer
at work. People who listen save time and appear smarter and more understanding. These traits will help
you get a better job. With so many things competing for our attention, it's hard to listen. Speakers and
listeners need to work hard when communicating to make sure everyone gets their message.
Good listening is essential for good communication in any relationship, whether at work, in marriage, at
school, or in conversations with acquaintances. Being a good listener is the key to communication. Build
relationships, learn new things, and demonstrate maturity and respect for those you communicate with.
Many people believe that good listening skills are natural and that everyone has them, but neither is
true. Becoming a good listener actually requires a variety of skills, and like any skill, it takes practice to
master and can be improved all the time. I don't think my listening skills are bad, but there are definitely
areas that could be improved.

“I Have a Dream”
King's "I Have a Dream Speech" moves me every time I read it. Its powerful message is timeless and
hopefully defies prejudice. past, present and future. The passion and emotion that King infuses into his
words gives his speech a seriousness that far surpasses many writings on similar subjects. It surprised
me because he was emphasizing his complete belief in the future that was to come. His recognition of
the great injustice that the United States has perpetuated against African Americans and the approach
he uses to combat them is both admirable and inspiring. The fact that he encourages peaceful protest
rather than resorting to violence, a struggle driven by neither revenge nor hatred, but a desire for all
people to unite and accept it, is noteworthy. , it was not a battle, but a battle to overcome differences
and discrimination in order to achieve a better world and a better future for all. It's truly amazing that
King didn't say anything negative in his speech. As the title "I Have a Dream" suggests, his discourse is
optimistic and hopeful. He masterfully designs speeches, tackles all topics and refutes them
promisingly.
One of my reactions to that speech was that I could feel his passion and encouragement in his words.
This is a theme buried deep in people's souls. Not only for those who have long suffered massive
oppression, but also for those who committed this unspeakable act of horror. To gain as much respect
as possible, he used many unbiased arguments, such as when referring to the "Declaration of
Independence," which is a big part of the ideas that have shaped America since it’s founding. . The use
of the words 'satisfied' and 'calm' shows that this issue does not belong anywhere. Strengthen your
speech with metaphors like "Lift our country from the quicksand..." Overall, you can see why this speech
had such an impact on the nation's history. I got Goosebumps reading his words.
The "I have a dream" speech was given at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. on August 28, 1963.
Owned by Martin Luther King Jr. In front of an estimated 250,000 people, King spoke about how
Americans should have equal civil rights.
He says there will be no peace in America until blacks are given citizenship. He refers to the "Declaration
of Independence". Where they signed the promissory note that all men are obliged to “Inalienable
rights” to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” are guaranteed. He demands and argues that
people can never be satisfied as long as black people are victims of the unspeakable horror of police
brutality. I talk. The dream that he doesn't want his four children to be judged by the colour of their skin,
and his dream of leaving freedom to all of America.
