CLAYTON RUTLEDGE EARNS FIRST GREEN CERTIFICATION IN AMERICA
First ISO 14001 Certification for Manufactured Housing Industry
granted to local home building facility
Rutledge,TN.— Clayton Rutledge, a local Clayton Homes building facility in East Tennessee, recently received
international recognition by achieving a certification that no other American builder in the industry has ever
received before. Clayton Homes is America’s largest homebuilder* and is committed to taking care of the
environment and its different communities across the nation.
“The ISO 14001 certification formalizes our commitment to practicing excellence in the stewardship of our
resources,” explains Marty Mansfield, General Manager of Clayton Rutledge. “All stakeholders of our facility
benefit from effective waste management, reduced dust, fewer air emissions and clean water run-off.”
The Rutledge team is spearheading the momentum behind international green building practices through
their achievement of ISO 14001 Certification. They have dedicated themselves toward improving the industry
standard, most notably through the home building facility’s efforts to reduce/recycle waste, improve the
quality of air and water emissions, and by continuously improving upon their efforts through measured
success.
Bruce Morey, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager of Clayton Rutledge, has devoted the entire past
year to putting his facility on the map as one of the greenest in the world. “I am extremely proud of our entire
team,” says Morey. “We were challenged, and as a result we have created a moment in history for the
