My name is Bruce Gilbert. I have 25+ years of experience in the Architectural and Engineering
field. I spent 12+ years working for a Structural Engineer. I have spent 14+ years working in an
Architects office.
I have experience with Construction Administration, Assembling Contract Documents, Shop
Drawings, Site Administration, LEED Projects, Project Close out & Roof Projects.
I have worked on a variety of projects over the years that include Military Facilities, Office
Buildings, Shopping Malls, Retails Stores, Higher Education, Healthcare Facilities, Municipal
Buildings, K-12 Schools, Churches and Residential. All these projects include Additions &
Renovations of the existing space.
I have become Proficient at Designing, Planning, Detailing and Assembling drawings. I have
been involved in the Construction Management and Administration of several large school
projects which include Broadalbin Perth CSD, Oswego CSD, Fulton CSD, and Delhi CSD. I
also was involved in the Construction Administration of the Mattydale Fire Department
Additions and Renovations.
I have over 24+ years of experience using AutoCAD. I am currently using AutoCAD 2016. I
have used Revit Structural for the last 1 1/2 years as well as 4 years’ experience with Revit
Architecture. I graduated from ITT-Technical Institute in December 2013 with a BS in
Construction Management. I finished a 3.76 GPA. I am also currently teaching at ITT in the
School of Drafting and Design.
I am experienced in the use of MS Excel, Word, Access & Power Point. I have participated in
all Phases of Design & Construction as well as Production and Scheduling. I am familiar with
the NYS Building Code. I have worked on several school projects and have experience with
NYSED standard and submission process. I have done some cost estimating in the past. I
have experience with construction specifications. I always look forward to collaborating with
the design team to come up with the best solution to the client’s needs.
The last several K-12 school projects that I have worked on were LEED Projects. I am very
familiar with the LEED Process for a building project. I am familiar with the LEED criteria for
LEED-NC.
