acquired throughout the years. In essence your job listing seeks someone with a strong
focus on details, accuracy, proper English usage, and effective visual communication
with an ability to detect cosmetic flaws. My experience with print media began to
sharpen my eye, by proofreading countless materials prior to going to press.
As an assistant editor and editor of two national poetry and art journal publications, not
only did I edit the poetry that was submitted but I aided in choosing the order of the
submissions in the journal, sending out and creating personal rejection and accepting
letters, and finalizing the art chosen for the inside of the journal as well as the cover of
the journal along with the actual color palette. I also had many managerial tasks and
made major decisions and contributions with only three editors on staff. These
contributions were derived from my exceptional interpersonal and communication skills,
strong attention to detail, and unparalleled work ethic. I was also nominated to work as
poetry editor of Mason’s Road, an online literary journal, where we I Word Press for
editorial production and correspondence with authors.
In addition, I have worked closely with other departments including marketing, sales, and

departments at an organization. I have the ability to work within a team as well as cross-
