Skills & Abilities
MANAGEMENT
· Being a newscast director, I would direct my team in moving cameras, opening/closing mics, taking graphics and going to and from
commercials breaks. When I produced sports shows, I would lay out how the show would flow, organize all photographers with gears
and vehicles. I wrote scripts and helped edit video. I’m very detailed-orientated and will take the time to double or triple check any
spelling or facts.
· In 2007,a newscast that I directed won ‘Best Newscast’ by the Iowa Broadcasting News Association.
WRITING
· I took it upon myself to help write scripts for newscasts if a producer needed help. I’ve written research, beauty, feature and

LEADERSHIP
· I believe leading by example and to that effect,I learned every position that I could within my places of work so I could be an asset in
multiple roles. As a trainer, it was important to me to impress on newemployees; that while we all had our individualtasks, we were
all working toward the same goal. Every role is important and help is only a question away.
