4. Power Poha Recipe
10 minutes • Serves 2-3
Ingredients
● 2 cups thick beaten rice
● 1/2 cup soaked and boiled Kabuli Chana (white chickpeas)
● 1 tbsp. oil
● 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
● 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
● 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
● 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
● 1/2 tsp green chili paste
● 1/4 tsp chili powder
● salt to taste
● 1 tsp sugar
● 1/2 tsp lemon juice
● 2 tbsp. finely chopped coriander (dhania)
● Preparation
1. (Step 1) Place the poha in a sieve and hold it under running water for a few seconds. Keep
aside for 5 minutes for the water to drain out completely.
2. (Step 2) Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
3. (Step 3) When the seeds crackle, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2
minutes.
4. (Step 4) Add tomatoes and Kabuli Chana, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2
minutes.
5. (Step 5) Add the turmeric powder, green chili paste, Chili powder, Salt, and mix well on a
medium flame and after 2 minutes add soaked beaten rice and mix well.
6. (Step 6) Cook for another minute. Turn off the flame. Add sugar and lemon juice over the
poha and mix well.
7. (Step 7) Garnish with chopped coriander and serve while hot.

7. Cucumber Smoothie
Ingredients
● 1/2 cup yogurt
● 1 cup peeled and
chopped cucumber
● 1 cup frozen
pineapple
● 1 handful mint leaves
● 10 ice cubes
(optional)
● 1 tbsp. lime juice
● A pinch of rock salt
Preparation
1. Peel and chop the cucumber.
Add all the ingredients in the
blender. Blend until smooth.
2. Eat immediately or store for
one day in a jar; if it separates,
shake to re-integrate it.
