In Multi- In feed HVDC System”

Description : In this modern area ,a new DC transmission system technology
i.e HVDC LIGHHT plays an important role in day-to-day Life. HVDC LIGHT is the newly
developed HVDC transmission technology , which is based on extracted dc cables and
voltage source converters , consisting of Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors(IGBT’s) with
high switching frequency .It is a high voltage direct current transmission technology i.e.
transmission up to 330 MW and for DC voltage in the 150 kv range. In the sense of realizing
independent controlling of active and reactive power HVDC light is more effective as
compared to the conventional HVDC system.
