Justin is the Co-founder of VXPASS and its President, a digital vaccination
verification and administration platform built on the Bitcoin SV blockchain. He
is, and has been, a global entrepreneur focusing on technology, management,
health doctrine and strategy.
Justin founded a product design company while still in college (Savannah College
of Art and Design) called Survival Solutions. He and his team won the Industrial
Designers Society of America (IDSA) Gold Award for their 'survival pod' and
received funding to build an international crisis management group that built
products and constructed doctrine to mitigate loss of life and social structure for
mass casualty global disasters. He worked with the USAID, the UN, and FEMA in
that role. His passions have always been solving problems and global affairs.
Justin also built and ran two Porsche Design franchise stores in the Chicago
area with a successful exit. Since then, Justin has been involved with creating
strategy for marketing and team building for numerous corporate clients and has
overseen both design and internal rebranding. Justin and Zack Weiner Co-
Founded Nomadic Creative together in 2017, a global creative asset company.

Barrister BukiOgunsakin
OMOLOLA FASHESIN Head, Sustainability Stanbic IBTC
Omolola is a chartered accountant with over 17 years of banking
experience. Currently the Head of Sustainability, Stanbic IBTC Holdings
PLC and a Non-Executive Director, Stanbic IBTC Trustees, she joined the
financial organisation in September 2009 as the Head of Credit MIS and
has worked in several roles since then.
Over the course of her career, Omolola has acquired skills and
competencies in several areas such Enterprise Risk Management, Capital
Management, Credit Portfolio Management, Sustainability, Financial
Controls, Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Budgeting and
Management Information Systems.
Omolola attended the University of Ibadan where she obtained a
Bachelor of Science Honors (BSc.) in Agricultural Economics. She also
holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the
Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, United
Kingdom. She has attended numerous trainings both local and
international in her areas of competency. She is a fellow of the

LEWIS R. ROBERTS
Dr. Lewis R. Roberts is the Peter and Frances Georgeson Professor in
Gastroenterology Cancer Research and Consultant in Gastroenterology and
Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic, where he is Co-Principal Investigator of the
Mayo Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) in Hepatobiliary
Cancers. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of liver and biliary
carcinogenesis; biomarkers for diagnosis of liver, bile duct and pancreas
cancers; and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis and liver
cancer, with a particular interest in immigrant African communities in the
USA as well as in Africa. He has authored over 400 articles, book chapters
and letters, and co-edited the book "Evaluation and Management of Liver
Masses". He serves as President of Africa Partners Medical, a non-profit
organization focused on improving healthcare delivery in Africa through
medical education, practical skills training, provision of medical equipment
and supplies, and health advocacy; as President of the West Africa Institute
for Liver and Digestive Diseases Foundation; and as a member of the Advisory
Council for The Hepatitis Fund. Dr. Roberts is also a founding member of the
Africa HepatoPancreatoBiliary Cancer Consortium. He is a Technical Advisory
Board Member of Women in Hepatitis Africa WIHA.
Bio-Sketch of Calvin Q. Pan, MD, MACP, FACG, FAASLD
Calvin Q. Pan, MD is a Professor of Medicine at the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Medicine
in NYU Langone Health, NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Pan received his MD degree from the State
University of New York in Albany and a residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, where he also
completed a year of research fellowship in nephrology. After his Gastroenterology and Hepatology training at the Stony
Brook University Hospital in New York, Dr. Pan joined the faculty at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, followed by the
promotion to Assistant Professor in 2004 and Associate Professor in 2010. He went on to serve at the Tisch Hospital of NYU
School of Medicine and attained the rank of Full Professor in 2012. Dr. Pan is an internationally recognized expert in viral
hepatitis. He has devoted his career to more than 30 clinical trials in the last two decades and advancing our
understanding of the natural history, prevention, and antiviral therapy for Hepatitis B or C. Among 200 plus peerreviewed
scientific papers and abstracts published, Dr. Pan was the leading author of many original articles presented in the
prestigious journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Gut, Hepatology, Journal of Hepatology, and
American Journal of Gastroenterology. He also served as a primary writer for the expert consensus “Asian American
Guidelines for Management of Chronic Hepatitis B” and “International Expert Consensus Guidelines on the Vertical
Transmission of Hepatitis B”. He is an associate editor for several peer-reviewed scientific journals, including the World
Journal of Hepatology, Liver Research, and the Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology. Besides academic work, Dr.
Pan serves in a variety of leadership roles in professional organizations. He is the Chair-elect of the Hepatitis B Special
Interest Group (2021-23) in the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), Past Chairman of the Online
Learning Committee in AASLD (2017-19), Past Vice President of the Association of Chinese American Physicians (2010-12),
and Board Member in the Political Action Committee of the American Gastroenterology Association (2019-22). He is also
involved in numerous professional committees, including the International Relationship Committee of the American
College of Gastroenterology (2016-19), Committee of the Coalition to Eradicate Viral Hepatitis in the Asia Pacific,
Committee of the National Task Force on Hepatitis B in the US, Membership and Mentor Committee of the AASLD (2012-
15), Global Engagement Committee of the AASLD (2021-23), Education Committee of the American College of Physicians,
and a role of district councilor in NY Chapter of the American College of Physicians (2019-22). Recognized by his colleagues,
Dr. Pan has received 17 academic awards and accolades for his contributions to medical sciences and patient care. He is
the recipient of the James D. Bruce Memorial Award for Distinguished Contributions in Preventive Medicine from the
American College of Physicians in 2018, the Outstanding Contribution Award of the Chinese Society of Infectious Diseases
in 2016, and Certificate of Service Appreciation from the American Cancer Society in 2007. He is a Master of the American
College of Physicians, Fellow of AASLD and American College of Gastroenterology. As an expert and key opinion leader in
his specialty, Dr. Pan serves as a keynote speaker or moderator at many international scientific congresses, expert
consultant meetings of the World Health Organization, and Web-CME events.
Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan
• Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan has been working in the field of Sustainability
and Communications for over 17 years. She serves as the internal leader
and “go to” expert for sustainability in Access Bank and the financial sector,
monitoring emerging trends, programs and issues; communicating and
educating others on sustainability. She mentors Sustainability champions
in other African financial institutions and provides them with relevant
support required to implement the necessary positive change in their
institutions.
• She joined Access Bank in 2008 to establish the Sustainability function and
has since led the Bank’s efforts in its Sustainability performance. In 2011,
she initiated the Nigeria Sustainable Finance Week to create awareness
and education on Sustainability and the need for the financial sector in
Nigeria to develop a set of principles that will guide their sustainability
performance. This was implemented in collaboration with UNEPFI and the
DFIs, leading to the development of the Nigeria Sustainable Banking
Principles.
• Omobolanle has since been actively involved in ensuring implementation
both within Access Bank and other financial institutions. She leads the
interface with stakeholders (domestic and international), on the Bank's
sustainability agenda and also responds to questions or statements of
position on Sustainability related matters.
UGUR TANRIVERDI
Ugur, a Digital Engineer, Bioengineering Scientist and alumnus
of the Imperial College London, is an International Award
winning Innovator who combines Artificial Intelligence AI with
Robotics and microfluidics in a unique, and innovative way.
An Automation Engineer and Design Thinker, he recently won
the 2020 Mayor of London’s Entrepreneur Health Award.
His work on AI, Blockchain Technology and Social Humanoid
Robotics is phenomenal. Through Design Thinking, he is able to
revolutionize human the concept of deriving suitable
replacements for limbs and other extensions.

His company Unhindr has been selected as one of the 15 most

• Dr. Lok graduated from the University of Hong Kong Medical School. She completed her hepatology training in London
under Dame Sheila Sherlock. She served as faculty at the University of Hong Kong until she moved to the United States
in 1992. She joined the University of Michigan in 1995 and is currently Director of the Hepatology Program and Assistant
Dean for Clinical Research.
• Dr. Lok’s research focuses on natural history and treatment of hepatitis B and C. Her research also includes liver cancer
and fatty liver. She has published more than 550 papers, has an h-index of 136 (Google scholar 9/2021) and was the top
1% most cited researchers during the decade 2002-2012. She co-authored every edition of the American Association for
the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) guideline on hepatitis B since 2001, and the first World Health Organization
guidelines on hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
• Dr. Lok served as Associate Editor of Hepatology in 2001-2006 and Senior Associate Editor of Gastroenterology in 2011-
2012, and President of the American Liver Association in 2017.
• Dr. Lok has mentored more than 60 fellows and junior faculty from all over the world, many of whom have become full
professors and heads of departments. She received many awards for teaching and mentoring including the
Distinguished Mentor Award from the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research in 2012 and an Inspirational
Mentor Award from the American Medical Association in 2014.
• Dr. Lok has received many awards throughout her career including the Distinguished Women Scientist Award from the
American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and Distinguished Scientist Award from the Hepatitis B Foundation in
2008, the Distinguished Service Award from the AASLD in 2011, the Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award from
the American Liver Foundation in 2015, the William Beaumont Prize in Gastroenterology from the AGA in 2016, a Gold
Medal Award from the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver and an Hon DSc from the University of Hong Kong
in 2017, an International Recognition Award from the European Association for the Study of the Liver in 2018, and a
Distinguished University Professorship from the University of Michigan in 2019.

Catherine Lephoto
• Dr Catherine Lephoto (PhD) is a Molecular Biologist with a
passion for sales and business development. Her education has
straddled prestigious institutions across the USA, the UK and
South Africa. Catherine’s academic career includes many awards
for academic excellence and publications in peer-reviewed and
other scientific journals. She received her doctoral degree in
Microbial Genetics at the age of 28. Her professional career
started in academia and later evolved into corporate. She has
held leadership roles in several multinational corporations
operating in the food and beverage industry on the African
continent. Recently she led the Covid-19 response programme of
the Kingdom of Lesotho in the role of Deputy CEO of the
National Covid-19 Secretariat, working with cabinet leadership,
civil servants, UN agencies and policymakers at the highest level
of government. She is the Executive Sales Director, Africa for VX
Technologies – a verified health records (VHRTM) company
leveraging blockchain technology for storage and verification of
health records, starting with Covid-19 vaccination status and
later for childhood and other vaccinations. She is a mother of
two young boys and currently lives in Johannesburg.
Catherine Freeland, MPH
Catherine Freeland is the Public Health Program
Director and Research Fellow at the Hepatitis B
Foundation.
She is the current program director of Hep B United
Philadelphia, a local community coalition to address
hepatitis B-related health disparities within Greater
Philadelphia. Her areas of interest are viral hepatitis
B, hepatocellular carcinoma, and addressing health
disparities. Catherine is currently working towards
her Ph.D. at Thomas Jefferson University, College of
Population Health with a concentration in Health
Behavior Science and pursuing a dissertation to
address low hepatitis B birth dose uptake in Nigeria.
Nationally, she is the secretary of the National Task
Force for Hepatitis B and manages Hep B United
National Programs as well as a Hepatitis B-focused
provider training program.
JIM RICE James .A. Rice, PhD, LFACHE is Senior Adviser with the Governance & Leadership service
line of Gallagher’s Human Resources & Compensation Consulting practice. He focuses his
consulting work on strategic governance structures and systems for high performing, tax-
exempt nonprofit, urban and rural credit unions, nonprofit social welfare organizations,
rural Critical Access Hospitals in several states, and large hospitals and integrated care
systems; visioning for large and small not-for-profit organizations; and leadership
development for Physicians, Boards and C-Suite Senior Leaders. Dr. Rice holds masters and
doctoral degrees in management and health policy from the University of Minnesota. He
has received the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health Distinguished Alumni
Leadership Award; a National Institute of Health Doctoral Fellowship; a US Public Health
Service Traineeship in Hospital Management; a Bush Leadership Fellowship at Stanford
and the National University of Singapore; and the American Hospital Association’s Corning
Award for Excellence in Hospital Planning. He is a Life Fellow in the American College of
Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Dr. Rice has worked in over 34 countries and was recently
Project Director and Global Technical Lead for Governance in a large $200 million USAID
funded project serving countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Dr. Rice holds faculty
positions at The Strathmore School of Business, Nairobi, Kenya; The Advance Institute for
Health Services Management in Prague, the Czech Republic; The Judge School of Business,
Cambridge University, Cambridge, England; and the Program in Health Administration at
the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health. He has lectured at the Nelson
Mandela School of Medicine in Durban, South Africa; The Thunderbird International
School of Management in Arizona; Cornell University; The School of Public Health,
University of California Berkeley, and Harvard University. He serves as Founder and
Chairman of the Akadimi Foundation focused on international study tours and exchanges
among boards and leadership teams in health and social welfare sectors across the Globe,
and is Chairman for the International Advisory Board for Children’s HeartLink, an
organization committed to building cardiac care capacity in developing countries, and
Crescent Cove, a respite and hospice service coordinator for children facing life-limiting
illnesses. He is on the Dean’s Cabinet for the School of Public Health, University of
Minnesota and is Advisor to the Board, LiveWell Initiative LWI.
Akinkunmi Obakeye , currently Reporter and Producer West Africa at CNBC
Africa, is an award-winning journalist who is grounded in broadcast
And digital media, multimedia presentation and production. His 9 years’
experience cuts across key media industry players within and outside Nigeria,
with a continued passion to learn and grow.
Years ago as an undergraduate, he developed his public-speaking persona
which earned him multiple awards, after which he has hosted several events.
Most recently, he served as a Moderator in the first panel session of the 7th
West Africa Union of Tax Institute's International Tax Conference in February

Akinkunmi Obakeye
Prim Dr NEDA MILEVSKA-KOSTOVA
A Distinguished Academician and Policy Technocrat, Neda Milevska-Kostova is a Vice-
President of the Health First Europe, an umbrella organization based in Brussels, Belgium
working on improving access to innovative health technologies in Europe She has over 20
years experience in health research, policy and patient advocacy and is Director of the
Institute for Social Innovations. .
Neda also doubles as Vice Chairman of IAPO, a Global Patients’ Organisation in relations
with the WHO; and she is President of the IAPO P4PS Observatory which is the Geneva-
based ‘watchdog’ for Patient Safety worldwide.
Currently she is a Research Fellow of health policy and management and a Director at the
Institute for Social Innovation in Skopje, and post-doctoral researcher at the Radboud
University Medical Centre, in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
In 2018, Dr Milevska Kostova was awarded the title Primarius by the Minister of Health for
exceptional and long-term commitment and contributions to the development and
advancement of healthcare system and health status of the population in North Macedonia.
Neda, a Pharmacist, is very vast and well rounded in every sphere of Global Healthcare and
Patient Advocacy.
She is the ‘go to’ person on Patient Policy in Europe and the environs; with many peer
reviewed open access Scientific Journal publications. She is a Faculty Member of the PAIR
Academy.
CASIMIR MANZENGO, MD,MPH,AME
I am Casimir MANZENGO MINGIEDI, Medical Doctor and Master of Public Health. I am bilingual,
Congolese from DRC. I am working for WHO as Regional Hepatitis Advisor, Regional Office for
Africa.
I have 26 years of Public Heath experience, beginning by the peripheral level as Clinician in DRC,
at the Sub-National level, National level and now at AFRO Region since 2018.
As Hepatitis Regional Officer, I am supporting Africa countries to implement the Global Health
Sector Strategy and the AFRO Regional Framework for Hepatitis elimination towards 2030. I am
providing technical support to the countries in the guideline’s development according to the WHO
recommendations.
In addition, with my strong Public Health and HIV background, as one of pioneers of PMTCT
implementation in DRC rural Health Zones, I am assisting countries for the integration of Hepatitis
program in the existing services, like HIV services and AnteNatal Care services.
Finally, I am contributing to the Hepatitis advocacy for Hepatitis awareness as a major public
health threat in partnership with all actors, including the Organization of First Ladies in Africa for
Development (OAFLAD).
I am therefore excited to present on the global health sector strategy for viral hepatitis during this
the 4th Liver Health Confab with the theme ‘The WHO Policy Thrust on PMTCT for Viral Hepatitis’
Bisi Bright MPH,C.Psych,FPCPharm,FPSN,MNIM©
Bisi Bright, is an international award winning Serial Social Entrepreneur, Health Systems Researcher, Adjunct Lecturer,
Consultant Clinical Pharmacist, and Public Health Manager. She is 1st Vice Chairman and CEO of LiveWell Initiative
LWI, a self-sustaining nonprofit healthcare social enterprise, which has impacted over 2million Nigerians and
thousands of Ghanaians with health literacy, improved overall health, and wellness.
Bisi serves as an Internship Preceptor for MPH and DrPH at the prestigious Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health
in Boston USA and is a visiting Doctoral Research ‘Opponent’ Faculty at the University of Helsinki, Finland.
Bisi sat on the Faculty of the Economist Conferences’ Healthcare in Africa; and is a two-time International Award
winner of the IATDM/CT (International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology).
Bisi Bright is also a Faculty Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange Graduate Management Trainee Programme NSE
GMT, and Lead Trainer in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Nigeria; She is also a Mentor for WIMBIZ (Women in

At the Global Level, she served as FIP PI Exco for Africa and the MiddleEast from 2008-2012, and Today, she is Board
Member of IAPO (International Alliance of Patients’ Organisations) and a listed member of the British Charity Trust.
As a fallout of COVID-19 she initiated and designed Study Protocols for COVIID-19 Response in Africa, which, along
with members of her clinical research team, have successfully published 4 Peer Reviewed Open Access Scientific
Journal Publications on COVID-19. She is the Country Representative of GIANT Nigeria, a Healthcare Organisation
related to Vaccines Hesitancy.
In 2017 she was recognised by the Economist Intelligence Unit EIU, as Global Changemaker Hepatitis C, and in the
same year 2017, she won the Presidential Commendation for work on Hepatitis, awarded by the President of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria.
TONY OSAE-BROWN
Tony Osae-Brown, Bureau Chief Bloomberg Nigeria, is a
seasoned Journalist, writer, and financial analyst. He is
an award-winning financial journalist with over a decade
experience in journalism and in the financial sector. He
has worked with leading media organizations like
BusinessDay (Nigeria) Mergermarket (FT GROUP) and
BBC (Contributing Analyst).
In the financial sector, he worked in the media
department of Bank PHB(now Keystone Bank) before
joining United Bank for Africa UBA where he headed the
Lenders’ Writers’ Bureau. While at UBA, he ensured that
the company’s press releases, features, product
information, web content, internal/external
publications, internal/investor communication and
speeches were top-notch.
Kimberly Kirkendall, CPA
Kimberly Kirkendall, CPA has been a bridge for international commerce between
the U.S. and China for 35 years. She began her career in China, moving there in
1986 after graduating from Ohio State University. She lived in China for five years,
where she ran two factories and managed the regional office of a U.S. parent
company. During that time she developed a deep understanding and love for the
country and its people. Professionally she spent the first ten years of her career in
operations, manufacturing and supply chain. The second ten years began with her
becoming a CPA and starting her own business as a consultant, both as interim
executive for some companies (CFO, VP Operations, General Manager) and as an
advisor for others. In addition to the consulting work she leads for IRD, she is a
contracted consultant providing services to companies on behalf of multiple US
SBDC International Trade offices as well as being a consultant for New Zealand
Trade & Enterprise.
Her company, International Resource Development, Inc. improves operations and
communication for clients with business in both the U.S. and China. Recent
Projects include: Establishing Accounting & HR Systems for a new Chemical
Factory, Negotiating and Structuring a Joint Venture, Target Search and
Negotiation for an Merger/Acquisition in China, Identifying and Establishing a
Distributor Network, Market Analysis & Product / Channel Plan, etc.

Argentina, China, Vietnam, France, etc.
MFONOBONG EKPOH
Mfonobong is a young practicing pharmacist with experience in the
health sector spanning five (5) years. With a penchant for health
financing, policy and management, she was nominated under the
auspices of LWI as a delegate at Nigeria's first Country Advocacy
Meeting CAM on Universal Health Coverage UHC in 2019 as a Young
People’s representative, and recently at the Short Course in Health
Technology Assessment HTA hosted by Accelerating Capacity-
building in Health Systems Research and Management in Africa
project / German – West Africa Centre for Global Health and
Pandemic Preparedness G-WAC at the University of Kumasi, Ghana.
Mfonobong has certificates in Health Systems Strengthening from
UNICEF and Health Financing for UHC from World Health
Organization WHO. She currently serves as the Senior Mentoring
Laision Officer of LWI Agathe Wehrli Mentoring Chair and a
participant in the FIP YPG Leadership Development Programme.
Mawugbe Gbededo Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist
My name is Mawugbe (Mawu for short as I like to be
called). My journey as a Pharmacist has seen me go
through all the different paths from working my first job
in a university teaching hospital, to volunteering at HIV
clinics in Africa to working in community pharmacy and
then hospital pharmacy and specialising in mental health,
to finally arriving at my destination in primary care as
Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist in care homes and
now medicines optimisation pharmacist at LLR.
I am country representative for LiveWell Initiative LWI, a
home-grown Nigerian non-profit organisation, in the UK.
Funfact: I speak 3 languages and love to play the guitar
and crochet which I taught myself last year during the
first lockdown .

Su Wang
Su Wang, MD, MPH is the current President of the World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA), a
patient-led organization whose mission is to harness the power of people living with
viral hepatitis to achieve its elimination. She practices internal medicine and is the
Medical Director of Viral Hepatitis Programs & the Center for Asian Health at Saint

She has over 19 years’ professional experience from a diverse background in

Dr Motolani Oyerinde is Medical Doctor and Senior Family Health Officer at LiveWell

Dr Tolani as she is popularly called joined the organization 6 years ago as a Volunteer
and Young Doctor under the organisation’s Volunteer Membership scheme, during
which time she participated in several Health Outreaches, Health Fairs and Corporate
Health Programmes. She is an Award-winning Young Doctor.
Dr Tolani has worked assiduously in the areas of Training, Peer Leadership, and
Corporate Health.
In particular, she led Health Missions into the Corporate Health Space, and she co-
facilitated as Faculty Trainer in Hepatitis, at a continental Africa Regional Training
Programme in Hepatitis which took place at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac Town Lagos
State 4 years ago, attended by delegates from at least 15 African Countries.
She is a brilliant Medical Practitioner who remains focused, dedicated to duty, and

Since the advent of COVID-19, Dr Tolani despite being a Nursing Mother, rose promptly

MARK SONDERUP
Mark Sonderup graduated MBChB from the University of Cape Town in
1995. Following his internship training, his postgraduate training was
at the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital where he
obtained a Fellowship of the College of Physicians in 2002. Between
2002 and 2004, he completed a 2-year fellowship in Hepatology at the
UCT/Medical Research Council Liver Research Centre and Liver Clinic at
Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town. He worked in the UK before being
appointed as a Senior Specialist in the Department of Medicine and
Division of Hepatology at UCT and Groote Schuur Hospital in 2007. He
was granted a FRCP (London) in 2018. He is currently Associate
Professor in the Department of Medicine and Division of Hepatology.
Research interests include viral hepatitis and drug induced liver
injuries. He has assisted in co-authoring the national viral hepatitis
guidelines and elimination strategy for South Africa. He currently
serves on the WHO Strategic Advisory Committee on Viral Hepatitis
and is a Board Member of the African Hepatitis Initiative and Technical
Advisory Board Member at LiveWell Initiative LWI
Dr. Yemi Sanusi, a physician artist and medical activist with special interest in emerging health matters and
other topics with animation; obtained her MBBS degree from College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL)
and an MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School LBS.
Her writing sample was one of twenty-five selected from over one thousand entries received for the 2010
Farafina Trust 10-day Creative Writing Workshop, in May 2010, led by Chimamanda N. Adichie. Yemi is a

Consultants of Nigeria IMCON and an accredited Management Trainer from the Centre for Management

has presented papers at two of them.
A selfless and kind hearted physician, she is well versed

involved in Research work at the local and global levels.
ABIGAIL PETERSON
Soft spoken Abigail is a caring and empathetic Clinical Instructor,
Nurse Tutor and Public Health Nurse, with several years work
experience in government clinics, and the private sector.
A double-qualified and University degree holding Nurse, she also
holds a Postgraduate Qualification as an Anaesthetic Nurse and she
serves as a Clinical Instructor at the LWI and Women in Hepatitis
Africa WIHA where she has impacted several lives and has assisted
in preventing mother to child transmission of viral hepatitis.
She has led several home healthcare visits and has actively
participated as a frontline officer in many Community Health
Outreaches. She currently serves as Senior Matron and Telehealth
Coordinator at the LWI.
SUZANNE TAIRU, PharmD
Suzanne, a philanthropist and career clinical pharmacist, is a Field
Director at the biogenetics conglomerate, AbbVie.
Zanne as she is popularly known, has a brilliant career which has
spanned through reputable multinationals including Astra Zeneca,
Shire, Pfizer, and now Abbvie.
She is very actively involved in philantropic work and has

GBONJUBOLA ABIRI
Dr Gbonju Abiri, a Fellow of the West African College of
Physicians WACP is a Mental Health Physician, Managerial
Psychologist, Professional Speaker and the Medical Director
of a Private Health Institution.
A Trauma Recovery Specialist and Mental Health Influencer,
she is quite adept at handling the subject of ‘Emotional
Health’, Trauma, Anxiety and other issues with humor, tact
and innovation….she makes it easy for people to
understand that there is #NoHealthWithoutMentalHealth.
She is a Faculty Member and Volunteer at the LiveWell
Initiative LWI Academy and has run several series of
lectures on Mental Health, in corporate organisations, and
to ‘mixed’-audiences.
Ulimma Nwadinaru Osele
Ulimma, a graduate of Pharmacy from the University of Lagos and a Woman in Hepatitis Africa WIHA
champion, is a multifaceted pharmacist with over three years of experience in the public health sector. She
began her career in public health as an Intern at the LiveWell Initiative LWI where she obtained the
Johnson & Johnson scholarship, bagging a diploma in public health from Lagos Business School in
partnership with AMREF Africa. Currently, she is a Senior Public Health Pharmacist at the Livewell initiative
LWI, a not-for-profit health promotion and empowerment public health organization.
Her success in this field is not only attributed to her expertise but also her peculiar leadership skill. This has
earned her several awards, one of which is the committee coordinator of the year, awarded by the young
pharmacist group (YPG) Lagos, for her service as the public health coordinator 2020. During her service
with YPG, she organized awareness campaigns, vaccine outreaches, and blood drives, aiming to bridge the
gap in public health created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her passion for ensuring access to health interventions recently gained her a scholarship at the school of
Public Health, Kwame Nkrumah University/ Department of Health Care Management, Technische
Universität Berlin, for a course in Health Technology Assessment.
She is commonly called "jack of all trades" because of her experiences in community, clinical, and most
recently industrial pharmacy, where she established the pharmacovigilance department for Annie Pharma
Limited and currently works as the head of the unit. She is a member of several organizations, including but
not limited to the African Forum for Primary Health Care, a forum advocating for primary health care within
universal health coverage and Agathe Wehril Mentoring Chair, an arm of Livewell initiative.

Ivonne Fuller Cameron, as Associate Professor at Howard
University USA, is the President & CEO of ISE International
Group, an Innovative Solutions company in the Healthcare and
Business Space.
She is also President of Think Outside The Box LLC, providing
strategic global health, business development and consulting
services domestically and internationally.
She is the Global Ambassador of Women in Hepatitis Africa

Abdulhafeez Mustapha
Abdulhafeez Ayodele Mustapha is a Passionate Pharmacist, an Applied Data Scientist and Vaccine
Supply Chain Specialist with eight years of experience in the public, private and international
development sectors, working principally in the areas of public and global health protection and
vaccines supply chain management and logistics.
He currently works with UNICEF, as a National Immunization Supply Chain Consultant at the Abuja
Country Office where he continues to support the COVID-19 Vaccine deployment efforts across the
country.
He has coordinated and co-led public health supply chain programmes in the implementation of
National immunization campaigns, operational deployment activities for COVID-19 vaccination and
programmatic management of COVID-19 resources for Nigeria’s Presidential Task Force team on
COVID-19 response, amongst others. He his adept at stakeholder’s management with extensive
experience working and maintaining positive relationships globally, and with national level

Taiwo Olawehinmi, currently exploring intersections between healthcare
and business, is an emerging global health pharmacist who is passionate

She is an Ashoka Changemaker Scholar with Distinction and has a

Sylvester Adeyemi is a Digital Innovator, Data Specialist and Pharmacist with more than eight years of
professional and volunteering work experience principally in the areas of pharmacy practice, public health
and development. A past president of the IPSF (International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation),
Sylvester is an experienced Peer Leader and a Senior Mentoring Liason Officer at the LiveWell Initiative

Dr Babatunde Obrimah (D.B.A.), a M.B.A., B.Sc./M.Sc
Dr. Babatunde Oghenobruche Obrimah is the Chief Operating Officer of
Fintech Association of Nigeria. He is a fintech enthusiast and a multi-
skilled individual with working experience of over thirty years spanning
the banking sector, non-bank financial services sector, financial
consulting services, project management and public sector.
His Professional career commenced at First Bank Nigeria Plc and worked
in various banks during his banking career. Positions held during his

Njide Ndili is the Country Director for PharmAccess

financing, supply side quality improvement using SafeCare

Moheetat Olu-Lawal, PharmD

Dr Abimbola Bowale
A 1994 graduate of OOU with MBChB.
Had a diploma in family medicine from the National Postgraduate Medical College of
Nigeria.
Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology) from university of Lagos.
Joined the Services of Lagos State in 1999 as a medical officer where he rose to become
the Medical Director of Mainland Hospital(IDH) in 2015.
He has been involved in the management of Infectious Diseases such as Tuberculosis,
Drugs Resistant tuberculosis, Lassa Fever, Monkey pox, Ebola virus Disease and Covid-19.
He led the team from the FMOH that trained and established the Drugs Resistant
Tuberculosis wards in University of Jos Teaching Hospital as well as Federal Medical Centre
Owerri.
He is also involved in the training of health workers nationally in the Programmatic
management of Tuberculosis.
He was involved in the formulation of the SOP on Drugs Resistant Tuberculosis for the
FMOH in 2014.
He is the team Lead for the Covid -19 Case Management Team in Lagos State where he not
only manages Cases of Covid -19, but was also responsible for the formulation of SOP, and
Treatment Protocols, both for the State and Nationally.
He has more than twenty publications.
Eniola Olaosebikan
Eniola Olaosebikan is a creative and in-depth writer with an
experience and exposure spanning more than two decades.
Her works have been featured in national dailies,
international blogs, as well as international anthologies. She
holds a Master's degree from the Aberystwyth University,
Wales, United Kingdom where she studied International
Business Management. She is currently an Author of six
books. Her most recent women empowerment book titled
'The Treasure in Your Vagina' is fast becoming a best seller on
online retail stores, especially on Amazon. When she is not
writing, she is busy speaking at conferences and seminars on
matters of the soul.
Luna El Bizri, PharmD
Luna, with a PharmD and a Marketing degree, is a Doctor
in Public Health candidate.
She is Founder and manager of "Lunapharm" pharmacy and
was elected FIP Executive Committee Member for Africa
and the Middle East, Health and Medicines Information
Section HMiS. A cersatile activist pharmacist, Luna is also a
member of the FIP "Community Pharmacy" section, a
member of the FIP "Non-communicable Diseases" Working
group and, a member of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists
(OPL) scientific committee.
With more than 20 years of experience in academic,
community, and industrial settings, Luna has solid expertise
in active research in these areas with multiple publications
in renowned journals and is an adjunct preceptor of the
"Lebanese American University" and the "Lebanese
International University".
HARRIET ONYEDIBE, PharmD
Harriet Onyedibe is a Rising Clinical Pharmacist passionate
about strengthening the healthcare system. She is actively
engaged in the health sector with experience cutting across
hospital, community pharmacy practice, and medical
volunteering. She has a USAID certificate in Fostering Change
in Health Services. She was a selected participant at the Health
Technology Assessment HTA Short Course in University of
Kumasi Ghana and is one of the 4 young ‘innovators’ who will
be presenting a short paper on Health Technology Assessment
HTA and Value Based Healthcare, at the #GHB2021.
She is currently a mentee at the Agathe Wehrli Mentoring
Chair (AWMC) - a global mentoring platform for young
pharmacists and scientists, under the Live Well Initiative LWI.

Roberts is the Peter and Frances Georgeson Professor in Gastroenterology Cancer Research and Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic, where he is Co-Principal Investigator of the Mayo Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) in Hepatobiliary Cancers. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of liver and biliary carcinogenesis; biomarkers for diagnosis of liver, bile duct and pancreas cancers; and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis and liver cancer, with a particular interest in immigrant African communities in the USA as well as in Africa. He has authored over 400 articles, book chapters and letters, and co-edited the book "Evaluation and Management of Liver Masses". He serves as President of Africa Partners Medical, a non-profit organization focused on improving healthcare delivery in Africa through medical education, practical skills training, provision of medical equipment and supplies, and health advocacy; as President of the West Africa Institute for Liver and Digestive Diseases Foundation; and as a member of the Advisory Council for The Hepatitis Fund. Dr. Roberts is also a founding member of the Africa HepatoPancreatoBiliary Cancer Consortium. He is a Technical Advisory Board Member of Women in Hepatitis Africa WIHA.
  • 5. Bio-Sketch of Calvin Q. Pan, MD, MACP, FACG, FAASLD Calvin Q. Pan, MD is a Professor of Medicine at the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Medicine in NYU Langone Health, NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Pan received his MD degree from the State University of New York in Albany and a residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, where he also completed a year of research fellowship in nephrology. After his Gastroenterology and Hepatology training at the Stony Brook University Hospital in New York, Dr. Pan joined the faculty at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, followed by the promotion to Assistant Professor in 2004 and Associate Professor in 2010. He went on to serve at the Tisch Hospital of NYU School of Medicine and attained the rank of Full Professor in 2012. Dr. Pan is an internationally recognized expert in viral hepatitis. He has devoted his career to more than 30 clinical trials in the last two decades and advancing our understanding of the natural history, prevention, and antiviral therapy for Hepatitis B or C. Among 200 plus peerreviewed scientific papers and abstracts published, Dr. Pan was the leading author of many original articles presented in the prestigious journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Gut, Hepatology, Journal of Hepatology, and American Journal of Gastroenterology. He also served as a primary writer for the expert consensus “Asian American Guidelines for Management of Chronic Hepatitis B” and “International Expert Consensus Guidelines on the Vertical Transmission of Hepatitis B”. He is an associate editor for several peer-reviewed scientific journals, including the World Journal of Hepatology, Liver Research, and the Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology. Besides academic work, Dr. Pan serves in a variety of leadership roles in professional organizations. He is the Chair-elect of the Hepatitis B Special Interest Group (2021-23) in the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), Past Chairman of the Online Learning Committee in AASLD (2017-19), Past Vice President of the Association of Chinese American Physicians (2010-12), and Board Member in the Political Action Committee of the American Gastroenterology Association (2019-22). He is also involved in numerous professional committees, including the International Relationship Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology (2016-19), Committee of the Coalition to Eradicate Viral Hepatitis in the Asia Pacific, Committee of the National Task Force on Hepatitis B in the US, Membership and Mentor Committee of the AASLD (2012- 15), Global Engagement Committee of the AASLD (2021-23), Education Committee of the American College of Physicians, and a role of district councilor in NY Chapter of the American College of Physicians (2019-22). Recognized by his colleagues, Dr. Pan has received 17 academic awards and accolades for his contributions to medical sciences and patient care. He is the recipient of the James D. She joined the University of Michigan in 1995 and is currently Director of the Hepatology Program and Assistant Dean for Clinical Research. • Dr. Lok’s research focuses on natural history and treatment of hepatitis B and C. Her research also includes liver cancer and fatty liver. She has published more than 550 papers, has an h-index of 136 (Google scholar 9/2021) and was the top 1% most cited researchers during the decade 2002-2012. She co-authored every edition of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) guideline on hepatitis B since 2001, and the first World Health Organization guidelines on hepatitis B and hepatitis C. • Dr. Lok served as Associate Editor of Hepatology in 2001-2006 and Senior Associate Editor of Gastroenterology in 2011- 2012, and President of the American Liver Association in 2017. • Dr. Lok has mentored more than 60 fellows and junior faculty from all over the world, many of whom have become full professors and heads of departments. She received her doctoral degree in Microbial Genetics at the age of 28. Her professional career started in academia and later evolved into corporate. Recently she led the Covid-19 response programme of the Kingdom of Lesotho in the role of Deputy CEO of the National Covid-19 Secretariat, working with cabinet leadership, civil servants, UN agencies and policymakers at the highest level of government. She is the Executive Sales Director, Africa for VX Technologies – a verified health records (VHRTM) company leveraging blockchain technology for storage and verification of health records, starting with Covid-19 vaccination status and later for childhood and other vaccinations.   • 10. Catherine Freeland, MPH Catherine Freeland is the Public Health Program Director and Research Fellow at the Hepatitis B Foundation. She is the current program director of Hep B United Philadelphia, a local community coalition to address hepatitis B-related health disparities within Greater Philadelphia. Her areas of interest are viral hepatitis B, hepatocellular carcinoma, and addressing health disparities. Catherine is currently working towards her Ph.D. at Thomas Jefferson University, College of Population Health with a concentration in Health Behavior Science and pursuing a dissertation to address low hepatitis B birth dose uptake in Nigeria. Nationally, she is the secretary of the National Task Force for Hepatitis B and manages Hep B United National Programs as well as a Hepatitis B-focused provider training program.

Su Wang Su Wang, MD, MPH is the current President of the World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA), a patient-led organization whose mission is to harness the power of people living with viral hepatitis to achieve its elimination. She practices internal medicine and is the Medical Director of Viral Hepatitis Programs & the Center for Asian Health at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey, USA. Dr Wang has designed primary care- based hepatitis B and C care programs, initiatives for pregnant women with hepatitis B, and is involved with community outreach and community-based participatory research. She has served as primary investigator for a number of viral hepatitis screening and linkage-to-care grants sponsored by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other funders and is involved with US National Institute of Health funded programs in minority and Asian health. Following his internship training, his postgraduate training was at the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital where he obtained a Fellowship of the College of Physicians in 2002. A double-qualified and University degree holding Nurse, she also holds a Postgraduate Qualification as an Anaesthetic Nurse and she serves as a Clinical Instructor at the LWI and Women in Hepatitis Africa WIHA where she has impacted several lives and has assisted in preventing mother to child transmission of viral hepatitis. She has led several home healthcare visits and has actively participated as a frontline officer in many Community Health Outreaches. She currently serves as Senior Matron and Telehealth Coordinator at the LWI.

Ulimma Nwadinaru Osele Ulimma, a graduate of Pharmacy from the University of Lagos and a Woman in Hepatitis Africa WIHA champion, is a multifaceted pharmacist with over three years of experience in the public health sector. She began her career in public health as an Intern at the LiveWell Initiative LWI where she obtained the Johnson & Johnson scholarship, bagging a diploma in public health from Lagos Business School in partnership with AMREF Africa. Currently, she is a Senior Public Health Pharmacist at the Livewell initiative LWI, a not-for-profit health promotion and empowerment public health organization. Her success in this field is not only attributed to her expertise but also her peculiar leadership skill. This has earned her several awards, one of which is the committee coordinator of the year, awarded by the young pharmacist group (YPG) Lagos, for her service as the public health coordinator 2020. During her service with YPG, she organized awareness campaigns, vaccine outreaches, and blood drives, aiming to bridge the gap in public health created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Her passion for ensuring access to health interventions recently gained her a scholarship at the school of Public Health, Kwame Nkrumah University/ Department of Health Care Management, Technische Universität Berlin, for a course in Health Technology Assessment. She is commonly called "jack of all trades" because of her experiences in community, clinical, and most recently industrial pharmacy, where she established the pharmacovigilance department for Annie Pharma Limited and currently works as the head of the unit. Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology) from university of Lagos. Joined the Services of Lagos State in 1999 as a medical officer where he rose to become the Medical Director of Mainland Hospital(IDH) in 2015. He has been involved in the management of Infectious Diseases such as Tuberculosis, Drugs Resistant tuberculosis, Lassa Fever, Monkey pox, Ebola virus Disease and Covid-19. He led the team from the FMOH that trained and established the Drugs Resistant Tuberculosis wards in University of Jos Teaching Hospital as well as Federal Medical Centre Owerri. He is also involved in the training of health workers nationally in the Programmatic management of Tuberculosis. He was involved in the formulation of the SOP on Drugs Resistant Tuberculosis for the FMOH in 2014. He is the team Lead for the Covid -19 Case Management Team in Lagos State where he not only manages Cases of Covid -19, but was also responsible for the formulation of SOP, and Treatment Protocols, both for the State and Nationally. He has more than twenty publications.

She holds a Master's degree from the Aberystwyth University, Wales, United Kingdom where she studied International Business Management. She is currently an Author of six books. When she is not writing, she is busy speaking at conferences and seminars on matters of the soul.
  • 48. Luna El Bizri, PharmD Luna, with a PharmD and a Marketing degree, is a Doctor in Public Health candidate. She is Founder and manager of "Lunapharm" pharmacy and was elected FIP Executive Committee Member for Africa and the Middle East, Health and Medicines Information Section HMiS. A cersatile activist pharmacist, Luna is also a member of the FIP "Community Pharmacy" section, a member of the FIP "Non-communicable Diseases" Working group and, a member of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists (OPL) scientific committee. With more than 20 years of experience in academic, community, and industrial settings, Luna has solid expertise in active research in these areas with multiple publications in renowned journals and is an adjunct preceptor of the "Lebanese American University" and the "Lebanese International University".
  • 49. HARRIET ONYEDIBE, PharmD Harriet Onyedibe is a Rising Clinical Pharmacist passionate about strengthening the healthcare system. She is actively engaged in the health sector with experience cutting across hospital, community pharmacy practice, and medical volunteering. She has a USAID certificate in Fostering Change in Health Services. She was a selected participant at the Health Technology Assessment HTA Short Course in University of Kumasi Ghana and is one of the 4 young ‘innovators’ who will be presenting a short paper on Health Technology Assessment HTA and Value Based Healthcare, at the #GHB2021. She is currently a mentee at the Agathe Wehrli Mentoring Chair (AWMC) - a global mentoring platform for young pharmacists and scientists, under the Live Well Initiative LWI.
