1. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”
Psalms 23:1, KJV
2. The Number “3” is important in scripture…
• Jonah – 3 days in the fish.
• Lazarus – 3 days in the grave.
• Tabernacle – Outer Court, Holy Place, Most Holy Place.
• Man – Spirit, Soul, Body.
• Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
• Jesus – three days until His resurrection.
3. The THIRD word in Psalms 23 is the word “IS”!
Today, I want to address some of the things of
what/who the LORD “is”.
4. First, we will address what “WE ARE”.
Cute & Cuddly! Really, really cool! In this together!
5. And, um, a few other descriptive words of “WHAT WE ARE”:
• Helpless and Defenseless.
• Have a tendency to “go astray”.
• Cute, cuddly, and cool… but really innately dumb.
• Timid.
• Tend to sink rather than swim.
• Need to be sheared once in a while.
• Really, really, really HIGH MAINTENANCE.
• May be “innately dumb” but innately smart enough to know our
Shepherd’s voice.

3rd person singular present indicative of BE.
