2. Technology Workgroup Objectives
• To promote use of best in class health Information Technology while supporting
the CHCs’ patient care mission.
• To review CHC business needs and introduce technology solutions.
• To foster an increased understanding of current and emerging HIT Technology.
• To use technology to support and enhance business operations and clinical
services to optimize patient care.
• To identify, understand and pursue HIT advocacy, funding and grant opportunities
for CHCs.
3. Technology Workgroup Meetings
• Meetings held monthly (at least 10 per year) based on geography of Downstate and
Upstate (Albany North & West).
• Quarterly meetings to be a consolidated with Downstate & Upstate participants to
foster collaboration.
• Invitations and Agendas to be sent approximately two weeks in advance with a
reminder as the meeting date approaches.
• The meetings will be held via teleconference using intercall (800-394-2346 participant
code 3052466509). The meetings will be recorded with the recording link distributed
for those who missed or require clarification. Any follow-up will take place no more
than 3 days after the meeting.
• The Agenda will include no more than 8 topics including introductions and open
discussion and be no longer than 2 hours. Participants are welcome to attend in
person (Downstate @ the CHCANYS NYC office (535 8th Ave 8th floor) or Upstate @
the Albany (90 State Street, Suite 601)) office. Topics may also include a
presentation, product demonstration or guest speaker.
• All remarks and conversations should not be shared outside of the workgroup or
without approval from the respective CHC.
4. Technology Workgroup Participation
• The workgroup will be made up of IT and senior CHC leadership.
• The workgroup will include only CHCANYS members. (All others will need
to be approved by the Workgroup leaders).
• The meeting will be co-chaired by Bill Leo (CHCANYS) and Jason Pomaski
(CHN).
• Participants are encouraged to ask questions and make the meeting as
interactive and exciting as possible.
• Participants are encouraged to request agenda topics and provide
presentations as appropriate.
