2. •A British anthropologist, Sir Flinders
Petrie, discovered in the 1930's a collection
of objects in a child's grave in Egypt that
appeared to him to be used for a crude
form of bowling. If he was correct,
then bowling traces its ancestry to 3200
BC.

4. The technology and material used may have
improved, but the standard equipment
required of a player remains the same: a
pair of bowling shoes and a bowling ball.
Why Do You Have to Wear Bowling Shoes?
Every bowling alley will insist that you
wear a pair of bowling shoes to play.
5. One bowling game consists of 10
frames. Each frame is equal to one
turn for the bowler.
The bowler's objective is to knock
down as many pins as possible in a
frame, ideally all of them.
A bowler can roll the ball twice in
each frame, provided that they do
not hit a strike.
7. Be flexible
The key is in the pocket
Choose a lighter ball
Focus, but not on the pins
