Benefit From Brainstorming
In the article "Myna Birds Don't Benefit From Brainstorming" Sarah Zielinski explains how Myna birds don't work well in groups but how they
work better on their own. People work the same way, group work is not necessary but excessive and hindering to the actual work that needs to be done.
This work seems credible because Zielinski is a science writer and editor. On Zielinski own page she writes "I am an award–winning science writer and
editor with more than a decade of experience covering a wide breadth of science, from astronomy to zoology. My blog, Wild Things, appears at
Science News, and my work has been published in a variety of other outlets, including Slate, Scientific American, Smithsonian, Science, Science News,

Brainstorming Chapter 4 Summary
Chapter four from Writing and Revising talks about strategies for generating ideas. Some of these ideas include brainstorming, freewriting, seeking
motives, and even brainstorming with a group. Brainstorming with a group works much like brainstorming alone. When you brainstorm alone you
start with an idea or a phrase and then proceed to write down anything you could possibly think of that goes with that idea or phrase; however,
brainstorming with a group allows you to compare and contrast your ideas with a group of people. This group activity will allow you to see how
others brainstorm their ideas and could help you with your next assignment. Freewriting is another strategy for generating ideas. When using

Comma's allow the reader to read and follow a longer and more complicated sentence without having to strain on the description. There are several
rules when using commas such as not putting them between a subject and a verb or using a comma splice to join short sentences. Parentheses allow
you to insert ideas or material without confusing the reader. They can also be used for citations or references when quoting a book. Parentheses can
also be used when adding a reference pointing the reader to a diagram or figure located in a

Define: Brainstorming is a technique used to get students minds thinking about a certain topic or problem. It allows for students to write down, or
say aloud their ideas about a topic without being told they are right or wrong. This is a way to get students brains thinking to come up with
solutions and or ideas. Activity (in narrative form): For my brainstorming activity I will ask the to get into groups of two or three. In these groups
they will write down brainstorming ideas of the question; how can we choose a book to read in class that everyone will enjoy? I will specify that I

Brainstorming: A Demanding Essay Fundamental
If you are interested in the best customized essays writing, then you would be having lot of questions in your mind which needs to be answered
timely. Do not know how to start an essay? Well, you are on the right post, as here we are illustrating the importance of anessay fundamental that is
brainstorming.
Essay Brainstorming
Even the most skilled students get worried when the question arises of writing essay. Brainstorming is regarded as the important part of essay because
it involves critical thinking and analysing implied understandings related to the topic either original or hidden. If you want to write flawless essay, then
you need to follow some brainstorming techniques, which are as follows:
Ask Questions
You must have some questions in your mind about the...show more content...
These biases most of the times prevent you from understanding the accurate nature of the problem.
Outline Assumptions
What is assumption? It is an unstated or expected statement which is considered as true but in real it is not true and can lead to misinterpretation. It
is noticed that each of the problem may require some sort of assumptions in order to answer the issue effectively. Make sure that the assumptions
made by you are proper and related to the topic of your paper otherwise you would not be able to write a good essay.
Conduct Research
The most important part of brainstorming is performing research. For writing essay, students need to do in–depth research in order to gather relevant
information, facts, statistics, and evidences. You need to support each of the argument placed which can only be done through use of appropriate facts
achieved through research. This is done prior to writing and once the research is done it marks beginning of your essay writing process.

Brainstorming Analysis Essay
All humans are flawed in that their brains immediately want to come to one conclusion or another and can subconsciously lead themselves to a
conclusion even when attempting to reduce cognitive and perceptual biases. To combat this, there will be the need to implement checks and balances
on the human brain in order to ensure that there are few or no biases being reached by the brain. Much of this can be done by exercising some of the
tactics of checks and balances as highlighted by readings this week. A simple concept, it states; that in respect to the outcome of an analysis, if the
opposite outcome was reached would I, the analyst be surprised by that outcome? This is an interesting method to check the human brain and ensure
that a thought provoking and rational decision is reached. The perception of a situation by the human mind is something that is more fragile the longer
the mind is exposed to that perception. As it is based on the expectation of what the situation is, it is difficult to stop the mind from creating a picture of

Rational Choice Theory allows for a rational approach to the organization of information for the analyst. By organizing information, it allows for the
mind to perceive the information in a simplified way that makes common sense. Brainstorming Analysis is interesting in that there are some
drawbacks in that the group thinking process stiff ling the creative thinking process. Red Team Analysis is what I see as a U.S. Marine as EMPCOA,
Enemies Most Probable Course of Action. This method is something that Marines live by and it greatly helps leaders make sound and timely decisions.
Rounding out the possibilities of reducing cognitive and perceptual biases is the Carver Theory and the Analysis of Competing Hypotheses which both
assist the analyst in organizing and simplifying the information

"We have all heard the expression that there is no such thing as a bad idea. When we are in the process of brainstorming for new ideas or solutions
to old problems, we wish to limit or eliminate boundaries, and let any and everything flow" (Garlough, 2013). In general, brainstorming has been a
beneficial way to engage in a collaborative project and more specifically utilizing an online open source tool such as http://Coggle.it is extremely
beneficial for our online, long–distance, cloud–based work environment we enjoy today. Reflecting on how this open source online tool enhanced my
experience is "the ability to utilize collaboration tools from almost any location" (Schrameyer, Graves, Hua, & Brandt, 2016) and thus allowing for
online educational courses such as this. Also, "multiple users are able to simultaneously view and make changes in documents, spreadsheets, forms and
drawings with very few restrictions – such changes appearing instantly or near–instantly" (as cited by Stephenson, 2013, p. 122), which allowed for
each of us to engage and provide input and feedback to the whole team. The information I received from the team helped me to think beyond my
personal parameters and creative ability to help produce a better, interdisciplinary lesson that I could of come up with if I were to make it myself.
Likewise, we were able to encourage each other, work off each other's ideas and create an amazing lesson that we could potentially use in our own
classrooms. There are several benefits to using this type of online resource of creative thinking for students, including that "the use of technology can
extend teaching and learning time beyond the brick and mortar and time constraints of the traditional, face–to–face classroom" (Wendt,
Rockinson–Szapkiw, 2015). Additionally, the collaborative team of students has the ability to input to the project at any time, allowing for optimal
working schedule for the individuals involved. "A number of studies have investigated the positive role that Web 2.0 and Cloud

3.3 Benefits and drawbacks of using vocabulary brainstorming in vocabulary assessment.
Using vocabulary in assessing students' vocabulary has both advantages and disadvantages. Considering its pros and cons can help teachers to adapt
this activity to their teaching context as well as enhancing the benefits and reducing the drawbacks in order to create a useful formative assessment.
3.3.1 Benefits
Vocabulary brainstorming has benefits for teachers' assessment towards students vocabulary and is also good for students'learning process.
Firstly, brainstorming is an excellent instructional activity that can be used to effectively assess students' vocabulary knowledge. It is a dynamic way
to assess students' conceptual knowledge as it triggers their schemata and cognitive process. Through students' work, the teacher can know how large
the students' vocabulary knowledge about a certain topic is, which students need to have further instruction.
Secondly, it can be used to students of different levels in different contexts. Students are not required to have a high level of English...show more

Formative assessment strategies are used throughout a unit of study. They are linked to the instruction and focus on discovering what students know
and need to know about the end goal or outcome. Teachers use formative assessment during the learning process and use the information to make
adjustments to their instruction to better satisfy learner needs. Using formative assessment over the course of a unit will provide teachers with
information on the learning processes of their students. Teachers can use one assessment strategy, change or adapt the instruction, and then reassess
using the same strategy or a different one to determine if the instructional practice is impacting student

This comp class has challenged me to change the way I write. Moreover, I have been forced to look at my sources in a whole new way in order to meet
the requirements each assignment. Discovering the best ways to brainstorm and organizing my essays has help me skip those painful first moments
that ultimately happen when starting a project. Therefore, there were many struggles that I went through this semester. From learning to synthesize, to
writing to an audience, to finding my voice, this class has helped me grow in many ways.
My writing journey took a new path the minute I started working on journal one. I didn't know it back then, but this journal has set me up for all that
came afterwards. Looking back over this first entry I realize that my sentences were very choppy and that my thoughts jumped from one to the next
without a successful transition. For example, "The older women, who have been told what to do from an early age, are now gaining their freedom by
educating themselves. The portraits of the women surrounded by their quotes make a strong statement about their will and desire to better themselves."
This is a direct quote out of my journal entry that shows the lack of transition and how it's confusing to the audience because there is no background or
description. Reading again, I can tell that I was just trying to answer the questions that the journal was asking and that I wasn't connecting the questions
or the topic to something else.
Moreover, synthesizing was

Free Writing Technique
I have always preferred the listing method, so I completed the free writing technique for contrast. While free writing on the topic, I felt like I was
doing really well, and thought that I might actually prefer free writing over the listing technique. Once I had completed my free writing, I realized
that I had told a story on the subject, which was performed very narrowly minded, not leaving me any mind broadening ideas. What I decided to do
next was, list ideas and words that pertained to the subject. This technique was head over shoulders more suitable for me, one word lead to another
idea, then another. Even though I personally prefer the listing technique, I think that I found positive points in both, and also negative points. I noticed

Brainstorming Essay
Brainstorming was born in 1939, which is when Alex F. Osborn began developing ways for creative problem solving. While many people have their
own ideas on what brainstorming is from graphs to make a point or writing thoughts down on a sheet of paper and trying to figure them out. After
doing my research I found there is more to brainstorming than just the obvious things. Brainstorming is a way of thinking up solutions, ideas or new
ways to express something or solve a problem. It can be a difficult process for many people because they may not be able to find a solution because
they may feel a fear of others opinions of their solution for solving the problem or simply because the problem may be just too difficult and there is no
solution to...show more content...
According to Osborn, "brainstorm means using the brain to storm a creative problem." That is the origin of the word brainstorm. The way
brainstorming works for most people is by free writing, which is where you just let everything flow, putting pen to paper is what I like to refer to it
as. The advantage of free writing is that you write everything out whether it makes sense or not it's all about getting your thoughts out before you
forget them. Brainstorming can also be done by listing things such as a topic, fact/facts, an idea, and a subject point to write of any many other things
to help your thought process. Clustering/mapping/webbing is also another theory associated with brainstorming, this theory is done by getting a sheet
of paper and writing the topic in the middle of the paper and using it to process the order in which you decide to write.
Current Use
Brainstorming is used in all types of places now. I have a couple of friends that work in different professions from owing their business to the health
care field to administrations jobs, and they all told me that they have to use this theory whether verbally, physically by writing or physically when
trying to get things in order on their jobs. Which I think is a good thing to know how to use because it makes things so much

Brainstorming Vs Brainstorming
Every essay needs a start, as words do not just poor onto paper in perfect sequence from nowhere. It took me quite some time to decide on a topic
that would inspire me to write a comparative symphony, and through trial and error, I finally chose to compare and contrast the 9mm luger munition,
versus the .45 ACP munitions. These two ammo types have an almost cult following, one saying the other is better and vice versa. So I have decided
on detailing the pros and cons of both, to see where one exceeds where the other fails. To make this happen I had to start my prewriting process by
brainstorming ideas to discuss each ammo type, making a list of both rounds' strengths and weakness, and freewriting a rough draft before fine tuning it
into a legitimate paper....show more content...
For me, it starts with a conversation in my own mind. This argument is on both sides of the topic, each side having experience for its respective
perspective. These opinions can stem from prior knowledge, experience, or even regurgitated information you have read or heard. After a short
time brainstorming, I began to have a modest understanding of how my paper would sound. In my own mind, I could see the layout falling into
place, and the topics flowing from one into another. That's when I began to bring the rhetoric in mind to life with pen and paper. I saw the main
points of my paper manifest in front of me as I listed them one by one onto paper. Using two columns, I began to see the strengths of one munition,
and the lack thereof in the other. Back and forth my list went, and before I knew it, I had written an entire page. It was like looking at a dot puzzle.
I had an idea of what the image was, but I had to draw my lines to connect it all so the world could see it as well. My lines began to form when I
started putting sentences on

Brainstorming Assignment
I used brainstorming to begin my topics. Reviewing things I had knowledge about and interested me in researching further. Then I began to list the
subjects that I could discuss and knew that research existed to confirm my position. By reading the assignment, I was able to review the process of
writing and narrow down my list to just 5 topics. By looking at my audience, I was able to reduce the number of topics. Also, in our reading
assignment I was able to look at general statements or limited topics and determine if each of my subjects were general or limited (Vandermey, 2012).
Leadership is something that I must use every day in my career. When people watch how you lead, one's actions must show concern for others and

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Brainstorming
Brainstorming stimulates deep thinking for new and creativity ideas to solve problems using objectives. Brainstorming capitalize on opportunity
cost by generated new ideas, creates a preparation for planning, defines an outcome based on the problem, and creates multiple perspectives
pathways for discovery. Brainstorming can be used on project to identify strengths and weakness were the outcome contains a higher degree of
success by maximizes resources. Strengths are maximized and weakness are overcome by following the scope rule. The scope rule is no criticism or
debate, quantity over quality, freewheel, and mutate and combine resources (Plucker, 2017). Brainstorming can be used for any setting to solve any
problem, face challenges, and requirements need to achieve an solution. For example, figure 1 is a brainstorming model by Heilig (2013). The display
of the brainstorming model is important because it display the complex of the network to generate ideas. Brainstorming begins by identifying the
problem between population growth and resources. Resources are food, land, water, and air. Food, land water, and air limited. Some resources have
constraints. Resources are vital for human existence. A rapid growth in population requires more resources. A rapid growth in population is due to
more births than there are deaths, which is referred to as a natural increase. In addition, an increase in food production and distribution, improvement in
public health and the

Brainstorming The Writing Process
The writing process was a little difficult. Brainstorming a list of possible thesis options was the biggest challenge for me. For me most of the time the
benefits of brainstorming outweighed the creative output. I found myself getting frustrated looking for times in my life when I struggled to read and
write. For the most part remembering how I conquered the challenges was very hard to recall. Though I found out what I was going to write about, I
still haven't stated my thesis on the paper. I found success in making transitions from one paragraph to the next. I was able to glue my ideas and essay
together in a way that the reader can understand for the most part. However, I still feel there are trials that are yet to be confronted and though

My writing process, no matter what, always includes brainstorming, rough drafts and proofreading. When I receive an assignment I read the
question over what feels like a million times till I fully understand what it is asking. I will make notes on the handout and as soon as ideas come to
my mind i will jot them down, even if I do not end up using them. As soon as I get ideas i role with it, even if I have to go back in the end and
change everything. Rough drafts come next. I like to write them out first so i can scribble and make notes to myself and fill things in when i need to.
I write in pen so sometimes by drafts can be more rough then they should be, but that is how i like it. After my essay is all finished I proofread, many
many times.

Pre Writing Techniques Essay
PRE WRITING TECHNIQUES
Prewriting is the first stage of the writing process, typically followed by drafting, revision, editing and publishing. Elements of prewriting may include
planning, research, outlining, diagramming, storyboarding or clustering etc. Prewriting is important because it helps you generate ideas for writing.
Some of the prewriting techniques are:
1. Outlining
2. Free Writing
3. Thinking maps
4. Cubing
5. Directed Questioning
6. Note making and note taking
7. Brain storming
8. Clustering
9. Charting
10. Scanning
The detail of each skill along with its examples is given below. 1. Outlining
An outline is a document that briefly summarizes the information that will be included in a paper, book, speech, or...show more content...
Note taking is a technique which is used when a person is reading or hearing something for the first time and he is trying to jot down the key
information so he can use it later. Note making is when you return to those notes and make notes on them. This means you just go through notes, put
things into your own words or summarize them and highlight key points. This technique is useful while gathering information for a respective article
from books and lectures etc. Examples: 1. This technique is helpful when you are going to study a language other than you mother tongue. Because it
is not easy to remember a lot of knowledge and vocabulary of the secondary language in one attempt. So there will be a need to read it again to learn
and remember more about new language.
2. If you are attending a technical lecture (e.g. related to some machine or something else), it is a good practice to make lecture notes because you
might need them to make comprehensive understanding of the topic.
7. Brainstorming
It means thinking of as many ideas as possible in a short amount of time. Brainstorming involves capturing all of the thoughts, ideas, and fragments in
your head and writing them down on paper. Brainstorming is an informal way of generating topics to write about, or points to make about your topic.
The important point about brainstorming is that there should be no

1. Impact on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) on Latino access to homeownership.
The policy relevance is that President Obama's immigration announcement regarding DACA permits created more opportunities for families to buy
homes without fear of deportation but questions exist regarding the possible fate of these mortgages upon the end of Obama's presidency or if the
DACA program is recalled. Possible sources include academic articles and interviews with organizations that do housing counseling within immigrant
communities.

By doing so schools are increasing the expectations of students and are requiring them become better readers. One of the challenges for English
language learners is that even though they might know the content (such as mathematics) they might not perform well given that their language skills
are still developing. Sources for research could include books on English language learners, articles regarding the development and enforcement of
Common Core, and studies on how educational institutions are working with students who are not language proficient.
7. Development of affordable housing near public transportation
In urban cities, access to public transportation can mean access to better schools and higher paying jobs. However, this sort of housing can be costly
for many families so research would look into Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and usefulness of this to created more affordable housing. Sources
would include academic articles on TOD, studies on affordable housing, and research into the effectiveness of projects that have done this combination.
8. Zoning/local ordinances limiting the housing occupancy

Benefit From Brainstorming

  • 1. Benefit From Brainstorming In the article "Myna Birds Don't Benefit From Brainstorming" Sarah Zielinski explains how Myna birds don't work well in groups but how they work better on their own. People work the same way, group work is not necessary but excessive and hindering to the actual work that needs to be done. This work seems credible because Zielinski is a science writer and editor. On Zielinski own page she writes "I am an award–winning science writer and editor with more than a decade of experience covering a wide breadth of science, from astronomy to zoology. My blog, Wild Things, appears at Science News, and my work has been published in a variety of other outlets, including Slate, Scientific American, Smithsonian, Science, Science News, National Geographic Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Brainstorming Chapter 4 Summary Chapter four from Writing and Revising talks about strategies for generating ideas. Some of these ideas include brainstorming, freewriting, seeking motives, and even brainstorming with a group. Brainstorming with a group works much like brainstorming alone. When you brainstorm alone you start with an idea or a phrase and then proceed to write down anything you could possibly think of that goes with that idea or phrase; however, brainstorming with a group allows you to compare and contrast your ideas with a group of people. This group activity will allow you to see how others brainstorm their ideas and could help you with your next assignment. Freewriting is another strategy for generating ideas. When using freewriting as a way to generate ideas...show more content... Comma's allow the reader to read and follow a longer and more complicated sentence without having to strain on the description. There are several rules when using commas such as not putting them between a subject and a verb or using a comma splice to join short sentences. It is an unstated or expected statement which is considered as true but in real it is not true and can lead to misinterpretation. • 5. Brainstorming Analysis Essay All humans are flawed in that their brains immediately want to come to one conclusion or another and can subconsciously lead themselves to a conclusion even when attempting to reduce cognitive and perceptual biases. To combat this, there will be the need to implement checks and balances on the human brain in order to ensure that there are few or no biases being reached by the brain. Much of this can be done by exercising some of the tactics of checks and balances as highlighted by readings this week. A simple concept, it states; that in respect to the outcome of an analysis, if the opposite outcome was reached would I, the analyst be surprised by that outcome? This is an interesting method to check the human brain and ensure that a thought provoking and rational decision is reached. The perception of a situation by the human mind is something that is more fragile the longer the mind is exposed to that perception. As it is based on the expectation of what the situation is, it is difficult to stop the mind from creating a picture of ...show more content... • 6. Reflection On Brainstorming REFLECTION JOURNAL 2 ENCOURATING COLLABORATIVE BRAINSTORMING WITH MIND MAPPING DEANNA SHELOW AMERICAN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ED5263 DR. SUZY NATIVIDAD DECEMBER 2, 2017 "We have all heard the expression that there is no such thing as a bad idea. When we are in the process of brainstorming for new ideas or solutions to old problems, we wish to limit or eliminate boundaries, and let any and everything flow" (Garlough, 2013). In general, brainstorming has been a beneficial way to engage in a collaborative project and more specifically utilizing an online open source tool such as http://Coggle.it is extremely beneficial for our online, long–distance, cloud–based work environment we enjoy today. Reflecting on how this open source online tool enhanced my experience is "the ability to utilize collaboration tools from almost any location" (Schrameyer, Graves, Hua, & Brandt, 2016) and thus allowing for online educational courses such as this. Also, "multiple users are able to simultaneously view and make changes in documents, spreadsheets, forms and drawings with very few restrictions – such changes appearing instantly or near–instantly" (as cited by Stephenson, 2013, p. 122), which allowed for each of us to engage and provide input and feedback to the whole team. The information I received from the team helped me to think beyond my personal parameters and creative ability to help produce a better, interdisciplinary lesson that I could of come up with if I were to make it myself. Likewise, we were able to encourage each other, work off each other's ideas and create an amazing lesson that we could potentially use in our own classrooms. There are several benefits to using this type of online resource of creative thinking for students, including that "the use of technology can extend teaching and learning time beyond the brick and mortar and time constraints of the traditional, face–to–face classroom" (Wendt, Rockinson–Szapkiw, 2015). Additionally, the collaborative team of students has the ability to input to the project at any time, allowing for optimal working schedule for the individuals involved. Firstly, brainstorming is an excellent instructional activity that can be used to effectively assess students' vocabulary knowledge. It is a dynamic way to assess students' conceptual knowledge as it triggers their schemata and cognitive process. • 9. This comp class has challenged me to change the way I write. Moreover, I have been forced to look at my sources in a whole new way in order to meet the requirements each assignment. Discovering the best ways to brainstorm and organizing my essays has help me skip those painful first moments that ultimately happen when starting a project. Therefore, there were many struggles that I went through this semester. From learning to synthesize, to writing to an audience, to finding my voice, this class has helped me grow in many ways. My writing journey took a new path the minute I started working on journal one. I didn't know it back then, but this journal has set me up for all that came afterwards. Looking back over this first entry I realize that my sentences were very choppy and that my thoughts jumped from one to the next without a successful transition. For example, "The older women, who have been told what to do from an early age, are now gaining their freedom by educating themselves. The portraits of the women surrounded by their quotes make a strong statement about their will and desire to better themselves." This is a direct quote out of my journal entry that shows the lack of transition and how it's confusing to the audience because there is no background or description. Reading again, I can tell that I was just trying to answer the questions that the journal was asking and that I wasn't connecting the questions or the topic to something else. Moreover, synthesizing was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Free Writing Technique I have always preferred the listing method, so I completed the free writing technique for contrast. While free writing on the topic, I felt like I was doing really well, and thought that I might actually prefer free writing over the listing technique. Once I had completed my free writing, I realized that I had told a story on the subject, which was performed very narrowly minded, not leaving me any mind broadening ideas. What I decided to do next was, list ideas and words that pertained to the subject. This technique was head over shoulders more suitable for me, one word lead to another idea, then another. Even though I personally prefer the listing technique, I think that I found positive points in both, and also negative points. I noticed Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Brainstorming Essay Brainstorming was born in 1939, which is when Alex F. Osborn began developing ways for creative problem solving. While many people have their own ideas on what brainstorming is from graphs to make a point or writing thoughts down on a sheet of paper and trying to figure them out. After doing my research I found there is more to brainstorming than just the obvious things. Brainstorming is a way of thinking up solutions, ideas or new ways to express something or solve a problem. It can be a difficult process for many people because they may not be able to find a solution because they may feel a fear of others opinions of their solution for solving the problem or simply because the problem may be just too difficult and there is no solution to...show more content... According to Osborn, "brainstorm means using the brain to storm a creative problem." That is the origin of the word brainstorm. The way brainstorming works for most people is by free writing, which is where you just let everything flow, putting pen to paper is what I like to refer to it as. The advantage of free writing is that you write everything out whether it makes sense or not it's all about getting your thoughts out before you forget them. Brainstorming can also be done by listing things such as a topic, fact/facts, an idea, and a subject point to write of any many other things to help your thought process. Clustering/mapping/webbing is also another theory associated with brainstorming, this theory is done by getting a sheet of paper and writing the topic in the middle of the paper and using it to process the order in which you decide to write. Current Use Brainstorming is used in all types of places now. I have a couple of friends that work in different professions from owing their business to the health care field to administrations jobs, and they all told me that they have to use this theory whether verbally, physically by writing or physically when trying to get things in order on their jobs. Which I think is a good thing to know how to use because it makes things so much Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Brainstorming Vs Brainstorming Every essay needs a start, as words do not just poor onto paper in perfect sequence from nowhere. It took me quite some time to decide on a topic that would inspire me to write a comparative symphony, and through trial and error, I finally chose to compare and contrast the 9mm luger munition, versus the .45 ACP munitions. These two ammo types have an almost cult following, one saying the other is better and vice versa. So I have decided on detailing the pros and cons of both, to see where one exceeds where the other fails. To make this happen I had to start my prewriting process by brainstorming ideas to discuss each ammo type, making a list of both rounds' strengths and weakness, and freewriting a rough draft before fine tuning it into a legitimate paper....show more content... For me, it starts with a conversation in my own mind. This argument is on both sides of the topic, each side having experience for its respective perspective. These opinions can stem from prior knowledge, experience, or even regurgitated information you have read or heard. After a short time brainstorming, I began to have a modest understanding of how my paper would sound. In my own mind, I could see the layout falling into place, and the topics flowing from one into another. That's when I began to bring the rhetoric in mind to life with pen and paper. I saw the main points of my paper manifest in front of me as I listed them one by one onto paper. Using two columns, I began to see the strengths of one munition, and the lack thereof in the other. Back and forth my list went, and before I knew it, I had written an entire page. It was like looking at a dot puzzle. I had an idea of what the image was, but I had to draw my lines to connect it all so the world could see it as well. My lines began to form when I started putting sentences on Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Brainstorming Assignment I used brainstorming to begin my topics. Reviewing things I had knowledge about and interested me in researching further. Then I began to list the subjects that I could discuss and knew that research existed to confirm my position. By reading the assignment, I was able to review the process of writing and narrow down my list to just 5 topics. By looking at my audience, I was able to reduce the number of topics. Also, in our reading assignment I was able to look at general statements or limited topics and determine if each of my subjects were general or limited (Vandermey, 2012). Leadership is something that I must use every day in my career. When people watch how you lead, one's actions must show concern for others and inspire them to do Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Brainstorming Brainstorming stimulates deep thinking for new and creativity ideas to solve problems using objectives. Brainstorming capitalize on opportunity cost by generated new ideas, creates a preparation for planning, defines an outcome based on the problem, and creates multiple perspectives pathways for discovery. Brainstorming can be used on project to identify strengths and weakness were the outcome contains a higher degree of success by maximizes resources. Strengths are maximized and weakness are overcome by following the scope rule. The scope rule is no criticism or debate, quantity over quality, freewheel, and mutate and combine resources (Plucker, 2017). Brainstorming can be used for any setting to solve any problem, face challenges, and requirements need to achieve an solution. For example, figure 1 is a brainstorming model by Heilig (2013). The display of the brainstorming model is important because it display the complex of the network to generate ideas. Brainstorming begins by identifying the problem between population growth and resources. Resources are food, land, water, and air. Food, land water, and air limited. Some resources have constraints. Resources are vital for human existence. A rapid growth in population requires more resources. A rapid growth in population is due to more births than there are deaths, which is referred to as a natural increase. In addition, an increase in food production and distribution, improvement in public health and the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Brainstorming The Writing Process The writing process was a little difficult. Brainstorming a list of possible thesis options was the biggest challenge for me. For me most of the time the benefits of brainstorming outweighed the creative output. I found myself getting frustrated looking for times in my life when I struggled to read and write. For the most part remembering how I conquered the challenges was very hard to recall. Though I found out what I was going to write about, I still haven't stated my thesis on the paper. I found success in making transitions from one paragraph to the next. I was able to glue my ideas and essay together in a way that the reader can understand for the most part. However, I still feel there are trials that are yet to be confronted and though Get more content on HelpWriting.net

When I receive an assignment I read the question over what feels like a million times till I fully understand what it is asking. I will make notes on the handout and as soon as ideas come to my mind i will jot them down, even if I do not end up using them. As soon as I get ideas i role with it, even if I have to go back in the end and change everything. Rough drafts come next. I like to write them out first so i can scribble and make notes to myself and fill things in when i need to. I write in pen so sometimes by drafts can be more rough then they should be, but that is how i like it. After my essay is all finished I proofread, many many times.
