1. THE GLOBAL FUTURE COLLEGE
Sec.global.future@free.fr
Globalization and technology’s constant and unprecedented advances and every so often
uncontrolled expansion enforce themselves upon all inhabitants of the planet..
These two factors, complementary, unwavering and exponential, transmute both individual
and collective behaviour at local and world level as well as the international relations between
States.
Particularly when in an unprecedented speed these relationship are confronted to the
Globalisation, to the progresses of Science and Technology, investigation of Oceans and Space,
Migrations, Environmental changes, development of Digital Communication, evolution of
Consumption…
This global process, whose significance and consequences are not always grasped, is usually
named or designated under the term of “modernity”.
The Global Future College’s goal is to tackle Modernity’s challenges through a systemic
approach and complex systems analysis of its most urgent aspects, and to explore their
convolution in their entity as well as in their specificities, so to make them comprehensible
and if possible manageable by man.
From that viewpoint, Global Future advocates regular encounters of all kind of players from
the Civil Society, involved in the modernity process such as scientists, researchers,
technocrats and decision makers from all walks of life …with a major objective :
Enhance the various elements of modernity useful to the progress of Humanity.
The Global Future College has a challenge it is to conceive a new paradigm.
