Principal and Architect: In this period, while I had a teaching
assignment in Kabul University, I was also managing the Memar
Architectural Firm in Kabul. I was the owner/partner of the firm
and my responsibilities included; designing, management and
advising the design team, scheduling and project assignments,
organizing, developing and maintenance of design programs to
provide quality service to the clients.. The firm was established in
1973. Major works included: Vocational schools,160 room hotel,
supreme-court building, campus master plan for the University of
Jalalabad, Datsun automobile show room and workshop, private
apartments, private homes and mixed use commercial and
residential buildings.

Supreme Court Building in Darul-Aman, Kabul. Government
project, designed on site area of 4000 m2
and building area of 800
m2
. The project includes two court rooms, offices, meeting and
waiting areas. Project not built.
Restoration of the head office of the Asia Foundation in Shari-
Naw, Kabul. Project completed 1975
Datsun Car Workshop and Offices in Darul-Aman, Kabul, on
site area of 2400 m2 and building area of 100 m2. The project
includes workshop, car exhibition area, offices, selling and service
areas. Project not constructed.
Vocational Agricultural School for the Ministry of Education
Kabul. The project is designed for 1000 students and is a
prototype to be built in four provinces of Afghanistan, having
classrooms, dormitories, laboratories and other related facilities.
Project constructed, 1980.
Hotel project in Salang-Watt, Kabul, designed on site of 300 m2
and building area of 2000 m2
in ten stories. The project had 160
bedrooms, restaurant, shopping and market area on the ground and
first floor, parking and other related facilities. Project not built.
Office Building for Federal Co-Operative Bank, a subsidiary of
the State Bank of Pakistan at Islamabad, Pakistan. Competition
