complex environmental programs providing measurable improvements to environmental management,
hazardous waste reduction, and spill prevention, response, and remediation.

MARPOL, US Department of Defense (DoD) Final Governing Standards (FGS), the Overseas
Environmental Baseline Guidance Document (OEBGD), Executive Orders, and ISO 14001:2004.
• Developing audit programs and conducting compliance audits of the various environmental media
including air, water, spill management, hazardous and solid waste, wastewater, asbestos,
aboveground/underground fuel tanks, pest control, to maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
Audit report is briefed to leadership. Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) is developed promptly to
mitigation of deficiencies in a timely manner.
• Built highly successful and robust waste minimization programs that diverted over 40% of waste,
including used oil, paper, cardboard, plastic, and metals and reduced waste disposal cost by over $1M
annually.
• Leading all aspects of program development, resourcing, funding justifications, risk assessment and
mitigation, training and education, feasibility studies, impact assessments, compliance audits, and resource
allocation to fulfill overall objectives and long- & short-term goals for environmental stewardship.
• Doctorate in Business Administration; dissertation: “Oil Spills Management in the Regional Organization
for the Protection of Marine Environment (ROPME) Sea Area” in cooperation with the Marine Emergency
Mutual Aid Centre (MEMAC).
