Case Study Rebuilding
Course | ARC 251 - Digital Representation
Term | Spring 2015
Professor | Shawna Hammon
Software | SketchUp + Photoshop
Program | Two Hulls House
For this project we were prompted to choose a contemporary building to
recreate in SketchUp and develop hybrid renders using Photoshop. For my
building I chose Two Hulls House built by Mackay-Lyons Sweetapple . This
was my first project after learning SketchUp, so I am confident that my skills
and techniques will only improve.

Self-Run Freelance Graphic Design Company
August 2014- Present
Software | Adobe Illustrator
During my freshman year experience at NC State University I became
very interested in graphic design and branding. Over the summer of 2014
I decided to create my own company focused on graphic design and
rebranding. Since then I have created my own client base and worked on
design projects for organizations in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia,
and Panama. Here I included some recent logo design projects.

Studio Design
Course | ARC 201-Architectural Design
Term | Fall 2014
Professor | Burak Erdim
Program | Cubist Artist Studio Design
The prompt for this project was to design a space for a cubist painter on
our campus, integrating a form of mass, plane, and frame into our design.
Through my sketch and model iterations I aimed to create a system of
interlocking forms that created public, private, and intermediary spaces for
the painter to live, work, and display his/her work.

Carmichael Bus Stop
Course | ARC 301 - Architectural Design: Tectonics
Term | Fall 2015
Professor | Dana Gulling
Software | SketchUp, AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop
Program | Campus Bus Stop
This project was a re-design of a campus bus stop located outside of the
Carmichael Gym Complex in which thousands of students would pass
through each day. The design had to incorporate at least one stereotomic
material, one tectonic material, and one membrane.
My design was a large stereotomic mass that serves as the platform and
movement space for the users (stairs, ramp, etc.). Across the mass a large
hollow steel tube spans the distance of the bus stop holding the FRP roof
structure which collects water and sends it down the hollow structure and
into a pond that can slowly release it into the earth.

8. Intern Architect I
Firm | Shelton Design//Build
Duration | Summer 2015
Principal | Robert Shelton
Software | SketchUp, AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop
Over the summer of 2015 I had the opportunity to intern with a
small Design Build firm in Pittsburgh which specialized in residential
construction and also took on some larger competition projects. The
project that I highlight in this section is a competition for a lot outside
of downtown Pittsburgh which was programmed to be 12-15 town
homes. As my first project I was assigned to work on this design proposal
including work in nearly all stages of the design process.

Program | NCSU Vet Campus Swine Facility
During this project we worked with the staff of the NC State Veterinary
Campus to design a new swine facility to house the pigs and a Teaching
Animal Unit where classes and lectures are held. The focus of my project
was attention to circulation whether it be pedestrian, service, or pig and
also passive heating and cooling systems working with geothermal control
systems and utilizing heat gain and wind control.
