3. We are a global homeowner community that
comes together around unique real estate. Our
families make memories while enjoying the
incredible locations that form each of our
collections.
We like to keep everything we do very
deliberate and it’s why we have remained
independent so we can put a personal touch to
everything that we do. This allows us to focus
on quality so our homeowners can be proud of
every touch point and interaction with an
August home and team member.
That is what makes each Collection so special
and that’s no accident. Each of our collections
are by design, unique and different by the
destinations, their individual personal style
and the Homeowners that inhabit them.
We only launch a select few Collections each
year, which means we carefully curate an
ever-growing waitlist of families who aspire to
join.

Your dream life
9. The rolling hills of Tuscany are known for
their lush vineyards and olive groves. The land
is rich and fertile, producing some of the
world's best food and wine, the Chianti in
particular is best enjoyed in a quaint local
taverna.
This region has been called home since ancient
times—the Etruscans settled here in the early
Iron Age, when they were driven out by
invading Romans. Nowadays, it's a popular
destination for art, food, wine and nature
lovers alike.
If you can tear yourself away from the rolling
hills, lush landscapes, vineyards and olive
groves for long enough, your home is a short
drive or train ride from some of the most
famous artworks and monuments the world
over.
Pisa is famous for its leaning tower but also is the
birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Be sure to
visit the Piazza di Miracoli - the UNESCO World
Heritage site for your souvenir photo.
In nearby Florence you must visit the Uffizi
Gallery, housing some of the most important
artworks in history from Michelangelo,
Caravaggio, Botticelli and Da Vinci. Perfect for
aesthetes and Dan Brown fans alike.
The hills, along with the beautiful scenery, make
this a great place to cycle. If you prefer not to
ride, there are bus tours that take visitors to
towns like Volterra and Montepulciano (the
birthplace of Brunello wine). Saluti.
Tuscany, Farmhouse
10. There are different opinions as to what
the “real” Tuscany is. Having travelled
across Tuscany, some of our favourite
areas are the provinces of Lucca and
Montecatini Terme that sit within the
heart of Tuscany.
The region of Tuscany is beautiful and
full of rich history and character. In these
provinces, you‘ll be surrounded by
mountains and hills. The villages nearby
have picturesque Sunday marketplaces
where you can sample some of the best
charcuterie and cheeses, as well as
traditional Tuscan shops and authentic
Italian restaurants.
The stone farmhouses will be near a village,
providing easy access to a variety of
amenities and excellent day trips.
Where we buy:
12. The South of France is not just about wine
and olive oil. It's not just about beaches and
sunshine. It's not even just about chic
boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants,
although those things do of course make the
region one of the most popular in Europe.
The Côte d’Azur manages to encapsulate a
sophisticated yet laid-back way of life. What
does this mean for you? A perfect
combination of relaxed strolls around historic
villages and cities, to the hustle and bustle of
Cannes and the Côte d’Azur.
You’ll be undeniably seduced by the free and
easy ‘style de vie’ in this area of France. From
March through to October, you can expect
sunshine every day with near certainty.
Consequently, the atmosphere here is
laid-back and the people are stress-free and
happy. The food in the region is a blend of
Mediterranean influence from neighbouring
countries and Traditional French. It's fresh,
healthy, seasonal and delicious. You'll find lots of
fish and seafood on menus, as well as seasonal
vegetables and fresh fruit.
The beaches of the South of France are some of
its most popular attractions. The region’s
coastline is lined with fine sand, which gives way
to pine forests that run along the beach in either
direction. For this reason, the typical French
beach is sparsely populated and rarely crowded,
unless you are in Cannes in the height of summer.
Here you can lunch in one of the many fabulous
beachside restaurants. Enjoy fresh fish and sushi
to the most delicious local rose wines or fresh
juices.
South of France, Villa
13. The Alpes-Maritimes, better known as
Provence and the Côte d’Azur, spread
from Nice to Cannes to the Mercantour
national park. Its bright light,
breathtaking landscapes, azure sea and
300 days of sunshine a year make the
Côte d’Azur a dream destination for a
holiday home that can be used all year
round.
In our opinion, it is the area between
Mougins, Grasse and Le-Bar-Sur-Loup,
where you can best experience the
South of France and its lyrical
landscapes away from the crowded
seaside. This area counts a number of
postcard-perfect
15th-century hilltop villages located around
30 minutes from the sea and 20-40 minutes
from Nice Airport. Walking around these
towns won’t take you more than half an
hour or so. It is a delightful place to kick
back and try the local food markets, and
fine restaurants, visit galleries and artisans’
shops in town, and discover the
surrounding areas and beaches.
We will purchase your home close to one
of these stunning hilltop villages with a
particular focus on the lesser-known and
quieter ones such as Tourrettes- sur- Loup,
Valbonne, Mougins, and Opio.
Where we buy:
15. Escape to the timeless beauty of the
Cotswolds, where idyllic countryside vistas
unfold like pages from a storybook. Nestled
amidst rolling hills, picturesque villages, and
charming stone cottages, this quintessentially
English destination invites you to experience
the essence of rural elegance. The Cotswolds
captivates with its enchanting blend of
natural splendor, quaint market towns, and
historic landmarks, creating a tapestry of
serenity and refined tranquility.
Meander through the winding lanes, lined
with honey-colored buildings and blossoming
gardens, as you uncover hidden gems at every
turn. Immerse yourself in the Cotswolds' rich
heritage, from medieval churches and stately
manor houses to captivating gardens and
ancient ruins. Indulge in leisurely walks along
ancient footpaths, breathing in the crisp
country air and reveling in the beauty of the
surrounding landscape.
Each village exudes its own unique charm, with
cozy tea rooms, artisanal shops, and traditional
pubs offering warm hospitality and a taste of
local delights. From the vibrant market towns of
Chipping Campden and Stow-on-the-Wold to
the romantic allure of Bourton-on-the-Water and
Bibury, the Cotswolds encapsulates the essence of
an English countryside retreat.
Embrace the slow pace of life, where time seems
to stand still, and allow yourself to be embraced
by the Cotswolds' undeniable allure. Whether
you seek to unwind amidst nature's embrace or
immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of history
and culture, the Cotswolds promises an
unforgettable escape, where every moment is
imbued with a sense of timeless charm and
understated luxury.
Cotswolds, Cottage
16. The classic Cotswolds cocktail of
beautifully preserved villages in warm,
honey-coloured sandstone, with views over
undulating hills.
The region is broad, comprising six
counties; we focus on the North and
middle Cotswolds. Predominantly in North
Gloucestershire and East Oxfordshire -
areas bordering the market towns of
Cirencester, Burford and Chipping Norton.
This region has some of the best villages,
which the August home will be located in.
We focus on finding a cosy English cottage
with close proximity to charming villages.
The idyllic countryside is never far from
view, with beautiful walks across the
Cotswolds.
Where we buy:
18. Mallorca is the most visited island in the
Balearics. Families flock here thanks to its
many beaches that cater to taking a stroll or a
splash, while retirees find an abundance of
wellness treatments at spas along the coast.
Honeymooners enjoy exploring a range of
activities including diving into the clear blue
waters or hiking through mountainous trails.
There are over 30 picturesque old towns on
the island to explore, each with their own
unique history and culture. The villages of
Sóller, Puigpunyen, Pollença, and Fornalutx
are some of our favourites in terms of
convenience and the variety of activities they
offer.
Mallorca also has an incredibly sophisticated
food scene, with restaurants serving up some
of the most revered cuisine in Spain. Eating
out in the area has never been more exciting.
There's nothing like relaxing by the water with
your feet dangling on their sandy shores while
you wait for your freshly grilled tuna steak or
fried calamari.
If you are feeling adventurous, the island is a
cycling paradise, a Mecca of solid rock. Whether
you want to have a long slow day in the scenery
or completely destroy your legs on the hills, you’ll
be in good company. There is a great cycling
community here.
Finally, the historic sites of the island are not to
be missed. The 13th Century Santa Maria
Cathedral in Palma to the stone built villages in
Pollença there will be something new to discover
each time you come home.
Mallorca, Townhouse
19. We have fallen for the island because of its
fantastic fishing villages, heritage and of
course, incredible beaches.
From our experience, the coastal villages offer
the best of both worlds - set on a gentle rise,
these villages insist on aimless wandering and
offer easy access to both the sea and inland.
You will find breathtaking vistas onto the
surrounding valley and hills where pockets of
almost indescribable charm await.
The villages of Sóller, Puigpunyen, Pollença,
and Fornalutx are some of our favourites in
terms of convenience and the variety of
activities they offer.
These villages live all year round, making it a
great destination to visit your holiday home
during lower seasons where you can enjoy the
ideal weather, less crowded beaches and
restaurants.
The valley and the surrounding mountains, “the
Tramuntana Sierra”, are loved by visitors from
around the globe, it is an ideal location for those
who like nature walks, water sports and great
food.
Where we buy:
21. At the foot of the behemoth that is Mont
Blanc, the aptly named Chamonix-Mont-
Blanc sits just inside the junction that joins
France with Switzerland and Italy. The
postcard perfect panorama of this mountain
range held the inaugural Winter Olympics in
1924.
It was Mont Blanc and the fiercely steep and
jagged Chamonix Aiguilles, which made it a
hotspot for Europeans before the bars and
clubs put it firmly on the party map.
However, while the cluster of resorts is easily
one of France’s most popular skiing locations,
that is not all this area’s known for.
Breathtaking scenery, countless historical
sights and exciting year-round activities as
popular draws, there’s plenty of things to do
in the Alpine region for all the family to enjoy.
You will be surprised to know that more tourists
visit the Alps in the summer than in the winter.
During the summer season, the mountain
becomes a paradise for anyone looking for some
fresh air, awe-inspiring landscapes and fantastic
activities, such as hiking (like the Tour du Mont
Blanc or the Vallée Blanche), mountain biking,
paragliding and alpine slides.
The traditional alpine village is brimming with
cosy restaurants where you can try local
favourites such as charcuterie boards brimming
with meat and cheese, fondue and raclette.
Perfect after a day on the slopes.
French Alps, Chalet Apartment
22. The valley of Chamonix is 15 km long from Les
Houches to Argentiere, with the city of
Chamonix being located in the middle of the
valley.
It is important to note, the steep mountains
that surround the valleys lie in the shade for
most of the year. Indeed, the northern part of
the valley gets more sun than the southern
part, especially during the winter.
For that reason, we focus on the northern
part of the Valley, all the way to Argentiere
and exclude the southern regions around Les
Houches. When buying in the French Alps, you
typically have two options. Firstly, a
centrally-located apartment in the heart of the
village itself, walking distance to all shops and
restaurants and close to ski buses (that take you
to the lifts).
Alternatively, you have properties that are a
little more remote and isolated, in other
attractive areas such as Les Praz and Les Bois, all
a few minutes from the lift Les Flegere and the
golf course.

24. August homes must meet specific
criteria to be suitable for a collection.
They must be located in desirable
locations, close to an international
airport have beautiful surroundings; a
functional property with local charm,
bright communal spaces, well designed
interiors, mixing old and new, beautiful
bathrooms, kitchen appliances and so
on.
It is often challenging to find the
perfect property that meets all our
requirements at the right price.
Therefore, we find houses full of
potential in the perfect locations that
we can update or fully renovate to our
standards. Once we have assessed a
property and are confident that we can
transform it into an August home, we
then purchase the property and the
renovation works will follow.
We work exclusively with the most
renowned local contractors in each area.
Renovating properties in partnership
with architects, and professionals we
will create the perfect holiday home for
you.
All properties are fully interior
designed in order to create a truly cosy
and authentic holiday home. We focus
on functional, charming interiors, and
are always inspired by local influences.
Finished with finesse, the August Way
25. Valeria:
Your booking system
Valeria meets our homeowners’ every need. At August, ease and
convenience is our priority. With availability calendars and online
reservations made in just a few clicks, you’ll be on your way in no time.
Running on a points-based
system and categorised by on and
off-peak periods, homeowners
will have an equal opportunity to

periods throughout the year.
There are last-minute booking
opportunities utilising no points
– particularly suitable and
attractive to those wanting
spontaneous getaways.
Our lifestyle specialists will
create the ultimate guides for you
for each city, with up to date
information so you can live like a
local.
You will have a dedicated
Collection Manager to assist you
with any booking enquiries and
recommendations.
We can safely say that we’ve always been able to get the
weeks that we have wanted, and more! The way our
Collection is formed means we all have different ideas
about our ‘perfect’ time for a holiday.

26. Who can use the holiday homes?
You can share your homes with friends and
family. When doing so, you take full
responsibility for the homes. Renting the
properties in order to gain income is however,
prohibited.
No limitations
You can book all the weeks you wish in the
holiday homes you want so long as there's
availability. You can also book as many
continuous weeks your points allow, and you
can spend all of your points on one home if
you so wish.
A flexible booking system
We have designed the booking system with a
great deal of flexibility to meet homeowners
needs and ensure you get the most from your
homes.
Our booking system is designed in
such a way to benefit both
long-term planners and those who
prefer last-minute spontaneous
holidays. Each year you will be
issued points to book holiday
weeks.
The weeks in the holiday homes
have a score according to local low
and peak seasons and combined
with school holidays. A week during
peak season costs more points than
a week in low season.
If you decide to only book during
peak season, you will have access to
seven weeks of holiday per year. If
you only book during the low
season, you and your family will
have 8-15 weeks of holiday available.
We expect that the average user will
use 12 weeks per year.
The points are released in batches.
By doing it this way, everyone is
able to save for their favourite
holiday week in a stress-free
manner.
If you cancel a holiday last minute,
you will lose those points as it
prevents others from booking
‘uncertain’ weeks that you might
want to reserve.
Your points cannot be transferred
to the next year. So if you have
outstanding points by the end of
the year, they will be lost.
General booking rules
27. The community
It is our ambition and hope
that we can foster new
relationships between
homeowners. A place for
families to meet like-minded
people and share experiences
and interests together, from
travel experiences to local
food and wine and regional
offerings. As August grows,
we aim to combine the
collections to enable
networking across different
groups. We screen and vet
everyone; we do not operate
with a fixed set of objective
criteria for who can and
can’t join our collections.
However, we conduct
meetings with everyone who
wants to join our collections
to make sure that all families
will fit the August culture.
We also carry out
background checks and
maintain the right to decline
co-ownership to maintain
and protect the integrity of
our August community.
We are thrilled with our homes as it has completely
exceeded our expectations! We appreciate that everything
is taken care of and that August doesn't cut corners. The
thorough vetting process to find like-minded co-owners
and properties have been so carefully thought through.
We’re so pleased to be a part of this community!
