1. What is it like to work in ADB
Working in ADB is a really great experience. I have colleagues from all over the world from
such a diverse range of backgrounds that I learn something new every day. The work
environment is very collegial, and gives ample opportunity to challenge yourself and work
on interesting projects.
Describe your journey in ADB as a Young Professional.
I joined the private sector department and spent my first year working with the funds team
where I was focused on ADB investments into private equity funds that offer
both commercial returns and clear development impact. Currently I am working with
the financial institutions team where I focus on both debt and equity transactions with banks
and microfinance institutions. I am currently working on transactions in Georgia, Armenia,
Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Pakistan.
“I am excited about
using my finance
background to make a
meaningful
developmental impact.”

Growing up in a small town in Germany, Tina has been passionate about
seeing the world, and making a meaningful contribution by sharing
opportunities with others.
Prior to joining to ADB, Tina was with Goldman Sachs for 5 years in Singapore
and San Francisco. Tina worked on Asian capital markets as well as on growth
equity investments in the technology sector.
Joining ADB’s Young Professionals Program has been a goal since studying
Masters in Public Policy in the National University of Singapore – Lee Kwan
Yew School of Public Policy. Tina is very eager about the ADB’s poverty
fighting mission and working in the Asian Development Bank is more than just a

What have you accomplished so far and what excites you
in your current role?
I am excited about using my finance background to make a meaningful developmental
impact. For example, I have worked on transactions through which ADB's funding was lent
to small farmers and MSMEs. Visiting end beneficiaries of our funding and seeing first hand
the impact that ADB can have is very motivating.
