Display of Voter‘s List at Polling Stations : March 9
Did You Know? :
30% of Lok Sabha candidates from diverse political parties face criminal
charges.
Charges include: assault, extortion, rioting, attempt to murder, defamation
(Source: Association for Democratic Reforms)
Smaller states, early polls: Meghalaya, Mizoram & Nagaland polls on 9th
April.
Delhi & Haryana polls : 10th April
Basic Facilities at Polling Stations: Drinking water, toilet, shed, ramp for
wheelchair-bound voters.
New Option On EVMs : If voter rejects all of the listed candidates, he/she
can press None of The Above (NOTA) button
Voters to carry photo voter slip to the polling stations as identity proof
States & UTs to have call centres, websites for complaint registration &
redressal.
