1. Top Sheets
#1 Priority in AM
The top sheets will be broughtto you by Alice or someone in Secondary.
These sheets will need to be sorted alphabetically and then numerically by
company name and sales order number. Oncecompleted write them down on
the Daily Shipment Log on the clipboard. If the order is a “Sample Order” putan
X/OK in the corresponding column. As you transfer the orders onto the log put a
line across the top sheet so that you know it has been copied.
The end of the month will generally have a lot moreshipments and can
require more than one page of shipmentlogs. Write down the page number at
the top and circle it. Once the firstsheet is filled give it to the person creating the
packing slips so that they may begin immediately.
*Pay attention to companieswith the same name (RockwellCollins and Rockwell
Automation or Monterrey) and make a note of it when transposing the
information. Thiswill help the person who is creating the packing slips and
invoices for the shipments as some companieshave special instructionsthat must
be followed.
*Certain companiesalwaysship via a specific carrier; refer to the list of companies
and make note of their carrier on the log as well.
* Also make note if the order is an internationalshipmentas it will require more
time to processthe additionalpaperwork.
*If there are shipping notes written on the top sheets that change the shipping
method of the order write them down aswell.
