1. Earl’s Court Festival Exhibition
July 4 – 8 The Troubadour Gallery
263-265 Old Brompton Rd
2007 Earl’s Court Festival Exhibition
The Nature v Man Exhibition is in keeping with the 2007 Earl’s Court Festival’s theme of climate change and is being
organised by Bicha.co.uk, a locally operated online gallery selling original contemporary art.
Art’s ability to change society is more important now than it ever has been. Our communities are no longer only
geographically defined. Instead our interests have been redirected globally. Art in the community develops unique
local voices and can unite people into action.
Bicha.co.uk founders John Bryson and Antonio Capelao will be exploring the idea that Man’s relationship with Nature
is ever changing. Man doesn’t need to change to save the planet. We need to change to save ourselves.
Call for submissions - All artists are invited to submit works for exhibition selection. We will be encouraging
local Earl’s Court artists to participate. Please contact John or Antonio to arrange the best viewing time. Call for
submissions is open until June 15. Artists will be informed by June 26 of the selection decision.
Number of Entries - Up to three entries per artist may be submitted.
Subject - The subject matter must respond to the ideas expressed above.
Display Requirements - The gallery has a picture hanging rail and the work needs to be able to hang off a centre
point or if necessary two points. If any work is particularly large or has any special display requirements this must be
discussed before submission.
Copyright & Reproduction - All works entered for the exhibition must be original. ECF reserves the right to
reproduce, without payment, any entries in the advertising for next year’s event.
Sales - All artwork must be for sale. A commission of 20% will be levied on the sale price for the Troubadour Gallery.
