never actually happened or
have not happened more
than once?
4. Following the Magic54 2.0 program you will get one of these
two things:
1. Do the To do’s
2. Don’t so the To do’s and not feel guilty about it
***you need to apply this method to every to do there. It
might seem much, but it pays off in the end
1. Make your sushi 2. Buy your sushi or don’t eat sushi
8. step1

18. Magic54 2.0
Write down 54 excuses for why you haven’t done that
yet! Or why you didn’t keep at it more than once
No, I’m not
kidding. 54 it is ☺
Don’t cheat, you need to get to
54. you can rephrase previous
ones, but still need 54.
19. Any excuse you find can be put in one
of the following five categories:
20. be able
to do have
self
it!
efficacy
know
how to
do it
be
motivated
context to do it!
21. 1. Excuses linked to context.
Context is about resources needed to do the To do ☺
Resources can be internal or external, but are vital to doing the To do.
Ex: external resources (money, shoes, subscription, books, etc)
internal resources (personal traits needed: IQ, personality type, etc.)
22. 2. Know how to do it
Means that you have the know how to do it. This is different than being
able/having the competencies
Knowing how to do it means that you are able to say what are the steps for doing
that To do. It looks like a recipe or a set of instructions
23. 3. Are able to do it
This is about competency. There are a lot of things that we know how to do but
are not able to do them. You know the annoying right seat drivers. ☺
Being able or being competent means that you can apply the know how in reality
and adjust it to context requirements.
24. 4. Having self-efficacy
This is a really cool concept that can be defined briefly: “I trust that I’m going to
do that To do correctly”
SE is behavior specific so it’s different than self esteem. I can have high self
efficacy at one task and have low self-efficacy at another.
It can be linked to the level of competency but it’s not necessary.
25. 5. Being motivated
This is the most important and usually the main cause to not doing the To do.
Being motivated is about knowing realistically that by doing the To do you will:
- Get something that you want
- Avoid something that you don’t want
Stay tuned for a comprehensive learning about
motivation.
27. Find out by looking at the magic54 2.0 list what are the real
excuses.
See if you can and want to change them and then get to it
or
Forget about the To do, erase it from the list so you won’t feel
guilty about not doing it and move on!
1. Make your sushi 2. Buy your sushi or don’t eat sushi
28. Remember if you decide to keep
the To do.
Sometimes it may look like this.
