1. Deep in the wood a Yule was born,
And in the wood, grew tall.
In summer, winter and the fall
The greenest tree of all.
The snowstorms whispered lullabies,
And wrapped up all the trees.
They sang: “Now close your lovely eyes
And make sure you don’t freeze” .
An angry wolf, his white fangs bared,
Besides the Yule tree stops.
The little hare is very scared
And round the Yule tree hops.
At dawn a pony pulls a sleigh,
White snow lies all around,
And jingling bells ring out so gay
Oh, what a merry sound!
An old man looks for wood to chop
And put it in his sleigh.
The pony gallops clip, clop, clop,
And takes our Yule away.
The Yule tree to our party’s come
And on this winter night
It brings much joy to every one.
Oh, what a lovely sight!
2. Good tidings we bring
To you and your kin;
Good tidings for Christmas
And a happy New Year!
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year.
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding
And a cup of good cheer.
We won't go 'til we get some
We won't go 'til we get some
We won't go until we get some
So bring some out here!
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
And a happy New Year
3. Jingle bells
Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way.
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way.
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh.
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way.
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open
