Projects Undertaken
• Worked on project titled “IMAGE PROCESSING OF A CT SCAN IMAGE” using MATLAB Coding
as major project of 8th semester.
The aim of the project was to emphasize on the utility of MATLAB in nuclear medicine image
processing. It includes theoretical background as well as examples. After an introduction to the imaging
techniques in nuclear medicine and the quality of nuclear medicine images, this projects proceeds to a
study about image processing in nuclear medicine through MATLAB. This project mainly concentrated
on the implementation of MATLAB code in gamma camera planar imaging, SPECT and SPECT/CT
methods.
• Worked on project titled “SUPERVISING THE PARAMETERS OF A CT SCAN MACHINE” Using
MATLAB Coding Software as minor project of 7th semester.
The aim of the project was to proceeds a study about image processing in nuclear medicine through
MATLAB. Image processing techniques presented in this project include organ contouring, interpolation,
filtering, segmentation, background activity removal, registration and volume qualification. A section
about DICOM image data processing using MATLAB is also in the project as this type of image is widely
used in nuclear medicine.
• Worked on project titled “SIMULINK MODEL OF PULSE CODED MODULATION (PCM) on
MATLAB” Software as minor project in 6th semester.
The aim of the project was to acquire a better understanding of Pulse Code Modulation by further probing
into sampling and quantization. I verified the introduction of aliasing by sampling a signal at a rate lower
than that dictated by the sampling theorem. The concepts of sampling and quantization are fundamental in
a multitude of areas in engineering. The digital or analog signals at various points in the circuits can be
viewed and analyzed using the virtual instruments included in the software.
• Worked on project titled “DUAL COLOUR STROBOSCOPE” as minor project in 5th semester.
The aim of the project was to observe moving objects with intermittent snap shots. It can able to find the
rotation of our ceiling fan or table fan, see detail of rapidly moving object and strobo - animation.
• Worked on project titled “DRINKING WATER ALARM SYSTEM” as minor project in 4th semester.
The aim of the project was to let people know about the supply of water in the water scarced areas where
there is no timing for supply of water by Water Boards. The State Water Boards supply water for limited
duration in a day without any fixed time of supply and the time of water supply is decided by the
management and the public does not know about the same. In such situation, this water alarm circuit will
save the people from long wait as it will inform them as soon as the water supply starts.
• Worked on project titled “MODEL LIGHT HOUSE” as minor project in 3rd semester.
The aim of the project was to flash a lamp in following a simple sequence. Two flashes of 2s with a short
gap of 1s, followed by a longer gap of 5s before repeating the sequence was the basis of functioning of
the project.
