1. Extreme power outages and widespread flooding may wind up making Superstorm
Sandy the second most expensive storm in U.S. history, according to the forecasting
firm Eqecat. From day one, Agility was all hands on deck helping our members plan,
prepare and recover from the storm. Here are some numbers detailing Agility’s efforts
in the Northeast:
• Over 1,200 business locations on alert
• 108 disaster declarations
• Recovered businesses in 8 States
• Over 25 industries from real estate and manufacturing to healthcare and education
• Over 4,000 recovery calls managed by Agility member services
• Over 20,000 miles travelled delivering generator sets and technology
• 20,000 gallons of fuel distributed for generators
Although power loss was the most prevalent issue, we conducted a dozen phone/voice mail
redirects, delivered QuickShip technology, and have several ongoing full office recoveries;
including mobile and commercial office installations.
“We are up and running, taking care of
our insureds when they really need us.
Thank you! By the way, we are the only
ones in our office building that had a
disaster recovery service like Agility!”

“I’ve heard from several people from
Agility today checking in on us since we
got our generator this morning. I have just
now had the chance to get back to you.
I wanted to let you know that we have
power and are fully up and running. We
will be reopening to the public tomorrow
morning. I am so relieved! You got us not
only power, but an electrician and fuel, I
couldn’t be happier with everything you all
have done for me and my bank. Thank you.”
– President from a Bank in New Jersey
in an email to Agility’s member service team.
