don’t have time to review everything – but need a general idea of what was contained within their
production so you can try and narrow down to a key set of documents to begin your review.
Details:
• David Noble’s deposition is up first / Cory Espinoza’s is the following week
• Responsive key words have been established from your own previous review of your client’s documents
• This is a case regarding fraudulent financial documents – so Excels are likely to be key.
Considerations:
• What methods can you recommend to filter down this set?
• What is your recommended starting set for review? (How many documents?)
• How many more documents will you need to review for the next deposition?

Why not use analytics for ECA too?
The Concept Wheel groups documents by what they are
about, not just by the specific terms they contain.
Questions to Consider:
• Are there obvious clusters that you can deem
irrelevant to the matter?
• Do certain concepts need to be reviewed by a
different level of reviewer/subject matter expert?
• Was there un-clustered data, what are your next
steps with those documents?

documents that have been identified as Responsive have Issue Tags associated with them so
they can find them easily when needed.
• How can this be set-up using Advanced Search?

batch documents so they can start their review on Wednesday. These reviewers are first level reviewers ONLY and
are not completing a privileged review (potentially privileged documents should be excluded for the Privilege
Team’s review only). The case team wants to ensure families are kept together when they are reviewing.
Details:
• Potentially Responsive Key Terms have been added to the Key Word List
• Potentially Privileged Key Terms have been added to a separate Key Word List
• The relevant date range is 1/1/2004 – 12/31/2004
Considerations:
• How many documents meet the criteria set forth above that would need to be batched?
• How could you recommend reviewers to review based upon similar concepts?
Why would that be useful to the case team?
• How could you recommend to provide the team with a random sample of the
documents that did not hit on one of their terms (that would not be reviewed)?
