as he was called, wrote church music

He became the town’s band leader up to
the time he entered the Philippine
Constabulary Band in 1919. In 1938,
he was chosen to compete at the Golden

Southwest Dance A social gathering for
dancing specifically, one at which
Spanish or Mexican folk dances are
performed.
Chavacano De
Zamboanga
Artist: Rizanna Narag
The Zamboangueño courtship and traditions are
elaborate and regulated by a long list of required
social graces. An example is the fact that a suitor
could not sit unless permitted to do so by the lady’s
parents, or the heavy cross-examination of the suitor
who had to answer satisfactorily all questions as to
his lineage, credentials, and occupation, or the
courtship curfew, the need to cultivate the goodwill
of all the members of the lady’s family. The songs of
love show the need for the harana or the courtship
serenade as well as the limits puts on the expression
of love by the norms of culture and tradition.

Never Enough
• Artist: Loren Allred
• Born: September 7, 1989
• Loren is an American singer,
songwriter and actress. Allred made
her Billboard Hot 100 debut with the
Platinum-selling "Never Enough" from
the musical soundtrack to The
Greatest Showman.
• Loren wrote the song, to impress
what is being put forth is simple
enough to decipher. Loren takes on
the role of an up-and-coming
singer. So when she proclaims that
it’s “never enough for her”, that’s a
poetic way of saying that, most
simply put, that she is striving to
make it big, being discontent with
where her life is at the moment.

us that anything unexplainable can be cleansed or
healed through a Santigwar.
