 What you are going to need: 
 Textbook: Burlington Passport 3º 
ESO. Burlington Books 
 Some paper: a notebook, white 
sheets, a folder... (it's up to you) 
 A pen or something to write with 
 Your everyday homework 
 Occasionally an email account for 
certain activities 
 A dictionary: online or on paper
ESO-3 
 What you won't need: 
 A workbook 
 A specific type of binder or notebook 
 To bring all the previous exercises done in class 
(with the exception of your homework or this 
unit's photocopies) 
 To show your notebook to your teacher: your 
notes and exercises are only for you.

 What are we going to do in this class: 
 One or more classes every week will be devoted to oral 
activities 
 One sheet with exercises will complement each unit in 
your textbook 
 English is going to be used as much as possible 
 You will have to write one essay every week 
 You will have to read one or more books per term 
 The more you read the better your marks will be 
 We will only have one exam each term, only one

 What you should do if you want to learn English and get a 
good mark: 
 Pay attention in class 
 Ask your teacher (or a classmate) if you do not 
understand 
 Use English if possible, if not, don’t worry 
 Revise at home at least 10 minutes every day and 
read as much as possible in English 
 Do your homework every day
