Six Sigma is defined or implemented through applying DMAIC. DMAIC is an acronym for five interconnected phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. The Six Sigma management system can enhance an organization’s profitability by increasing the quality of its processes. The Six Sigma management method focuses on better understanding of changing customers' requirements, improving business systems, quality, and delivery, reducing and eliminating defects and waste, reducing cost, and enhancing the organization's competitive advantage.
