What will the ABWM Foundation do?
Funds raised through the Foundation will be
used to sponsor non-biased, evidence-based
educational programs, provide scholarship
opportunities to qualified individuals for the
CWCA®, CWS® and CWSP® examinations, and
administer a wound care practice examination
to assist potential associates and diplomates in
preparing for the certification exam.

Wound Care Knowledge
The Mission
The ABWM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-
profit foundation. It supports the work of the
American Board of Wound Management
(ABWM) for the advancement of wound care,
the promotion of certification for providers of
chronic and acute wounds, and the benefit of the
public by developing and providing quality
education and conducting sound research to
support and promote wound care.
What are the ABWM Foundation’s Goals?
Through research, education, and
other initiatives, the ABWM Foundation will
support the work of American Board of
Wound Management to promote wound
certification by seeking to increase the pass
rates of individuals taking the Certified
Wound Care Associate (CWCA®), Certified
Wound Specialist (CWS®), and the Certified
Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP®) exams
and the total number of individuals certified in
each category. Giving Levels
The ABWM Foundation has set up the following giving
levels. Please select the amount you would like to give:
$10,000 – GOLD LEVEL
$5,000 – SILVER LEVEL
$2,000 – BRONZE LEVEL
