2. Who are my clients?
Waite Financial clients are affluent individuals and families who desire a holistic approach to their
wealth management and legacy planning.
• Oftentimes they are in significant transition and require strategic help, for example, with:

… complex tax or estate planning issues
… the timing and exercise of stock options, deferred compensation payouts, and other

Who is Katherine Newton?
For over 30 years I have been crafting benevolent protectorates for my clients’ wealth so they are
free to live lives of meaning and purpose.
This slightly unusual way of using the word protectorate is to emphasize that my greatest aim is
ensuring my clients’ goals and dreams are heard, clearly articulated, honored, and protected. The
work I do is entirely about you my client with complete focus on you and what is important to you.
Together we will design a blueprint for safeguarding, augmenting, and growing your wealth. We
work carefully over time to avoid potholes and temptations born out of greed (e.g., from get-
rich-quick schemes) and fear (e.g., over-reaction to headlines) so that you are able to achieve your
dreams.
Why Waite?
My ancestors’ family name “Wayte” or “Wayghte” means “to keep watch”. The Waites in medieval
Wales and England were the trusted and vigilant advisors to the Royal Court.
I wanted a name that would express both my love of my own family and my deep desire to serve
the needs of other families whose own deepest desires are to create, protect, and manifest their
own legacies.
The choice of a name for my firm was simple. Waite Financial it was and is.
