Re: Cancer Council Victoria Postdoctoral Cancer Research Fellowship
I am pleased to advise that you have been awarded a Cancer Council Victoria Postdoctoral
Cancer Research Fellowship from 1 July 2015 - 30 June 2016, to continue your research on
Novel pathways for tumour progression: EGFR/RAS and PI3K activate FBP-dependent
MYC transcription to drive glioma, with Dr Leonie Quinn at the Department of Anatomy and
Neuroscience, University of Melbourne.
Fellowship Details
The Fellowship is valued at $72,359pa. This amount covers all salary and salary on-costs
(eg payroll tax, workers compensation, leave loading, compulsory and contributory
superannuation) as well as some minor operational support.
Payment of the Fellowship will be made quarterly in advance, commencing 1 July 2015.
This payment will include an additional 10% GST payment, and we will provide a Recipient
Created Tax Invoice to the University of Melbourne.
Acceptance
The Fellowship offer is made on the basis of your signed application and the Guide to
Applicants (copies provided). Please confirm your Institution’s acceptance of the terms and
conditions of the Fellowship by arranging for an authorised officer to sign the next page.

Approvals
Because your project involves research on humans, animals, genetic manipulation or
carcinogenic/toxic chemicals, please send me a completed copy of the provided Research
Ethics Approvals form. Please note that your Fellowship funding will not commence until
confirmation of these approvals has been provided.
Reporting Requirements
A condition of this Fellowship is that you are required to provide a lay abstract and a
scientific report that covers the research you have undertaken. You will be asked to include
some information in your report about what you found to be most valuable about the
support provided by Cancer Council Victoria. Please forward these reports to us by
31 July 2016. We will provide guidelines for the format of these reports in May 2016.
