2. Program Information
● Healthy Minds
● The population would be children-teens experiencing mental health issues
● Some primary goals are to provide good support systems and try to improve social and
cognitive development of the individuals.
● The mission for this program is to have an open program that allows all young
individuals access to mental health services and have options that will help them grow
as an individual person in society.
3. Factors
● Funding cost would be one primary factor that would affect the program overall.
● An economic factor that could affect my clients is that a large portion of my community
is currently in poverty, and that affects their ability to receive services for their mental
health problems.
● Some social factors that can affect them are the unequal education and the risk of
unemployment as they grow up.
4. Culture and Diversity
● The main factors would be the impact that culture has on the concept of mental health.
Some cultures and different races experience and see mental health in different ways.
Because of this, the program would have to have adaptability to best suit all different
young individuals and their families.
● It can also affect my clients because of the possibility that their culture doesn’t believe
in receiving help for mental health problems.
● One way I plan on being inclusive is by being low cost as well as having staff that are
culturally competent. It is important to have staff on hand that can provide services to
different cultures as well as races in ways that will help them most.
5. Organizational Theory and Design
I would use Henri Fayol’s Universal Process theory in my organization. Another is the “esprit
de corps” which is face-to-face communication. I feel that work should be divided evenly as
well as distributed by what department or individual specializes in best. If one worker or
department is better with those who are autistic, and another is better suited helping those
who have bipolar, it should be split up to best help the clients.
Chain of Command
● Director
● Manager
● Supervisor
● Case Worker
The reporting structure would be case workers reporting to supervisors weekly. The
supervisors then report findings to the manager to keep records of how the case workers are
doing. The manager if any issues are found will then report to the director.

7. Information System
Some important information that will need to be documented are the clients that I work with
and the mental health problems they face. I will also need to document the work that my staff
provides them with as well as any referrals that are made for them.
8. Program Evaluation
I will evaluate my program in two different ways. The first one is keeping documentation of
the journey that my clients take. I will keep records from when they started to the end of
them being with my program. With this I will be able to see the work that was done with them
and the help it provided them with. The other program evaluation I will utilize is testimonies
from the clients we serve. It is important to get feedback from clients so you know where you
did good things as well as areas we may have to improve on. For my staff I will evaluate
them by also using the feedback from clients to make sure that my staff is providing the best
help possible to clients. The outcomes I will measure will be the quality of feedback, as well
as success rate from clients.
9. Primary goals of Healthy Minds is to provide children and teens struggling
with mental health issues with the support they need in order to improve
their social and cognitive development. Giving young individuals the access
to mental health services is an important mission, but we have to take into
consideration certain factors that could affect reaching our goals such as
funding, poverty and culture. Healthy Minds has the ability to provide
services while being aware and taking these factors into considerations in
order to help the children of our community to reach their full potentials.
