For the most part Our community lacks creativity in that we are assigned projects and given specific guidelines on its execution, but this tactic lacks imagination and originality. In most art classes we are expected to copy our teacher’s example, but there is no room for our own ideas. Not only in art class is this a problem ,but in almost everyother class we have no input into out assignments, so that they lack ingenuity and are more or less the sameas our piers. There are many simple ways that we could resolve this issue.
Through the years students sometimes lose their creativity because of the stict boundaries of schooling, this is a problem because sometimes they can no longer express themselves in a healthy way. Individuality is on eof the key componoents of our society, one of which we cannot afford to lose. By reintroducing creativity into our curriculim we can insure that the sudentsfo this school will remain individuals.
We could bring in creativity by having less specific instructions to leave room for student interpretation. For example, in English classes several projects involving books of choice would allow students to find their love of reading and continuation of this would not only create a love of reading within students but they would be more willing to read less desireable books by a students’ standpoint. In art classes maybe assigning a media, such as watercolor, prismas, acrylic, etc… and letting the student pick the topic within their level of capability This would bring out creativty in people that are usualy not creative as well as allowing creative studetns to express it.
. Without creztivy there is no progress, ramble about inventions. Easy to bring into to the curriculum
