lesion from the oral cavity. When the result came, I realized that
my whole life would change. And so it did. It's a fight you can
not win alone. My success is owed to family and her friends,
they motivated me to continue my fight even when treatment was

not swallow, but especially to the doctors specialized in this type
of cancer, who recommend the best therapies to cure me and

16. Diet/ nutrition for head and neck cancer survivors:
This guideline will help you get back to a normal diet. We try to offer you
suggestions of foods that will enable you to more easily control the side effects
occurred after treatment. Also offers instructions to help reduce the amount
of food supplements received through the feed tube. This will result in
increased quantities of food you could.
When you can eat enough to keep your weight and no longer use the
feeding tube, it will be eliminated. *
It's possible you have to try different foods until you find some that
you can swallow. Try to start with liquids and then eat soft and moist food
(see thelist below). Other suggestions for eating when your throat is inflamed:
Mince food like all

If your food has a different taste, like metallic, bitter or sour:
• Try sour foods, such as citrus juices, blueberry juice
• Eat cold foods or at room temperature
If the food has no taste anymore:
• Try different kinds of spices for vegetables, meat, chicken or fish
like: garlic, basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, paprika, tarragon
• Try very aromatic foods like: pizza, spaghetti or lasagna, grilled
meats, light salsa (no spices), olives, chocolate
• Add additional flavor to spice foods such as grilled sauce, mustard,
ketchup or soy sauce
• Try to improve the taste of meals alternating bites from different
types of foods
Other suggestions for changing the taste of food:
• If the taste is too strong, try foods that do not require cooking,
such as: cheese and biscuits, cow's cheese, different kinds of salad,
sandwiches
