As a recent college graduate I am eager to offer my unique skill set. I bring a distinctive combination
of a degree in financial economics and knowledge of three languages: Russian, English, and German.
I believe such a skill set would be very valuable in our global economy.
My experience at a liberal arts college, Wittenberg University, developed both my intellectual
inquiry and wholeness of person. My financial economics major exposed me to economic theory and
application. My German minor cultivated strong critical thinking skills. Beyond the classroom I
gained leadership skills playing four years of varsity tennis and earned top male athletic scholar for
the whole athletic department.
I was able to gain real world experience during my two internships. My first internship with
Developmental Disabilities of Clark County sharpened my spreadsheet analysis abilities. My second
internship at Comfort Living, LLC, also provided me with an opportunity to assist with analyzing
data of the company’s real estate portfolio. I have continued to work with Comfort Living expanding
my role to marketing assistant.
I also worked in a call center environment where I was heavily exposed to providing bilingual
customer service to multiple clients, which strongly increased my customer service etiquette,
attention to detail and communication skills. I also got very familiar with health insurance
marketplace in the US.
Just as diversification of assets is important in finance, I believe my diversification of activities
during my college career helped me to develop character and perseverance. My ability to manage
my time and effectiveness is evident by my 3.86 GPA.
I have proved myself and others that I am a great learner by getting a degree in non-native for me
language and finishing college with above-average academic achievements including athletic results.
Now I am willing to transfer my characteristics of a good ambitious learner to a professional field.
Thus, I am currently looking for entry-level opportunities related to business (economics, sales,
analysis) with space for career advancement and personal development where I can get my foot in
the door, get useful practical knowledge in the business world and where I could also potentially use
my language skills.
Sincerely
Alexey Topolyanskiy
