Security Risk Consulting
ROSE Partners // Security Risk Consulting // Nov 2015
What We Do
Rose Partners understands that risk assessments are a means to an
end; their purpose being to focus security measures appropriately to
reduce risks to acceptable levels.
We carry out risk assessments to help our clients to:
• Identify and assess strategic risks to inform long term planning
and the development of security policies and standards.
• Identify and assess the risks associated with change through
acquisition or restructuring.
• Understand the risks to individual sites or asset clusters to inform
the preparation of site security plans and the implementation of
appropriate security measures.
• Deliver the right level and type of security for projects, travel and events.
Our risk assessments utilise internationally accepted methodology. We
identify the people and/or property at risk; identify and assess threats;
review the effectiveness of existing mitigation measures; and determine
the level and nature of risk.
Threat Assessments
Every risk assessment is dependent on an understanding of the principal
threats. Through a combination of online and local source information we are
able to identify and assess historical threats and to gather real time information
to provide a comprehensive understanding of the threat environment.
Risk Assessments
Our consultants have extensive experience in carrying out security risk
assessments for large corporations, SMEs, NGOs, international organisations,
governments and private individuals. We can help you to understand the
likely effect of political, operational and security risks on your business.
Duty of Care
We have extensive experience in managing political, operational and security
risks wherever you are operating. We can advise whether you should seek
to tolerate the risks you face, transfer the risk through insurance, or mitigate
risks yourself, through the preparation of site or travel security plans, by
implementing physical or technical security, using guards, providing advice
to your staff or tightening up existing procedures. We take a pragmatic
approach, cognisant of commercial, legislative and industry pressures.
Security Reviews
ROSE Partners // Security Reviews // Nov 2015
Rose Partners can review all elements of security - measured against a
given set of standards or objectives or against best practice.

Rose Partners provide comprehensive technical surveillance
inspections which can be carried out to assure clients that intrusive
technological eavesdropping is not taking place.
Crisis Management
ROSE Partners // Crisis Management // Nov 2015
Rose Partners helps clients:
• With crisis management planning.
• Respond to serious and significant security incidents.
Our crisis management consultants are all experienced in handling
major incidents such as kidnaps, large scale industrial accidents,
sieges, activist extremism and terrorist attacks.
Crisis management planning
Crises are to some extent predictable and their impact can be
mitigated by having in place and rehearsing effective plans.
Our consultants can prepare effective crisis management plans at
the corporate and site or project level and help integrate them into
management structures. We can provide authoritative advice about
the composition of crisis management teams, effective escalation
procedures to ensure that incidents are identified promptly and
managed effectively and procedures for communicating with
external and internal stakeholders.
We can review existing plans and procedures to ensure that they
are appropriate and advise on any improvements that should be
made to bring them to best practice.
A key element of effective crisis management is the preparedness
of personnel to manage a crisis when it happens. We can conduct
workshops or simulated exercises to test the response capabilities
of businesses and identify weaknesses.
Crisis response
In the event of a crisis our consultants can provide specialist
support to help businesses respond effectively.
Intrusion Testing
ROSE Partners // Intrusion Testing // Nov 2015
Rose Partners’ experienced consultants can assess the effectiveness
of physical and technical security measures and of personnel
responsible for access control and other elements of security by
carrying out intrusion testing.
Intrusion testing consultants have a combination of technical and
procedural knowledge to thoroughly test the effectiveness of client
security.
Careful preparation is carried out ahead of each intrusion test and we
liaise closely with clients to ensure that security systems are properly
understood.
Following every intrusion test clients are provided with a comprehensive
report assessing the effectiveness of security measures and identifying
any weaknesses. Our reports provide sensible, pragmatic
recommendations to address the identified weaknesses.
Our intrusion testing is carried out without disruption to business
activities. There is no use of force, either against property to gain entry
or against personnel.

Insurance Advisory
ROSE Partners // Insurance Advisory // Nov 2015
Rose Partners works closely with the insurance industry to enable
underwriters to limit their risk and brokers to reduce premiums by:
• providing better, more informative risk profiles of
businesses and private clients by carrying out focused
risk assessments and using multiple threat analysis feeds
to allow cross checking of intelligence.
• providing regular briefings and reports to underwriters.
• mitigating the risks that keep premiums unnecessarily high.
• consolidating insurance policies, allowing clients to reduce
the number of policies and the total cost by reducing
duplication of insurance cover and administrative costs.
The basis of our approach is that ignorance of risk tends to push
premiums up and greater understanding and transparency can
reduce premiums.
What we offer clients
If you have multiple policies - covering buildings, contents, operating
losses, public liability, professional indemnity, medical, travel,
security - with numerous providers around the world we might be
able to help you consolidate them into a smaller number of policies
and reduce the premium you are paying.
Life Skills Programme
ROSE Partners // Life Skills Programme // Nov 2015
The LIFE SKILLS – PERSONAL RESILIENCE course is designed for
young people preparing for the transition out of full-time education,
often the period of time before higher education begins and career
commitments reduce freedom and flexibility to travel. This covers
everything from CV writing to first aid and self-defence to body
language. The training has been developed alongside psychologists,
business mentors and mindfulness experts to develop future
leaders.
The course embeds the principles of effective decision-making to
ensure that they can:
• Recognise – what information is available to help them
evaluate and understand dynamics of a situation
• Analyse – information thoroughly to actively determine
useful courses of action based on their aspirations and
their surroundings
• Prioritise – their choices for action whilst maintaining
their flexibility having prepared alternative options and
being ready to adapt.
