Blog from Ambassador Travel: Aloha from Hawaii
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young woman named Patty. She dreamed of laying
on the beach, whale watching, snorkeling and surfing. Her father was stationed in Hawaii
from 1938 to 1942. He enjoyed living, working, and playing baseball in Hawaii, so much so,
that he wanted to share this paradise with his daughter. One day, he whisked Patty and her
mother off to Maui to spend one magical week at the beach. Patty immediately fell in love
with the spirit of the island and has returned multiple times. The essence of aloha wove
itself through her heart and she was never the same. This essence personified the idea that
one should respect and care for themselves, their families, their neighbors and their island.
During her visits, she interacted with inviting locals, ate delectable dishes and experienced
the true aloha phenomenon. She recalled the memorable times, eating breakfast at the Cast
Away Cafe inside the Ka'Anapali Villas. She reveled in stories of driving up the path to the
Haleakala Volcano translated as "House of the Sun" to view the sun rise. She made a point
to always stop at her favorite hidden gem restaurant the Kula Lodge for breakfast on the
way back to the mainland. She never wavered from her passion for this magical paradise.
She will always remember the tranquil nights when she walked on the beach, leaving
footprints in the sand, and the warm days she spent exploring the island. She truly found
her paradise!
