1. Resources: Resources include Camera, Camera Charger,
Memory card, Software Such as Photoshop and PowerPoint.
The Computer (Laptop for home use) Also Location, Actors,
Costumes for the actors and safety equipment for when
climbing the tree. Also the Storyboard and script to act off as
well as Pens and paper to right additional notes throughout
making the narrative. In order to get the resources needed I
need to purchase Adobe Photoshop for my laptop which can
be bought from £60-80 from Argos and other retailers.
Costumes for the people playing the characters will be in the
colours similar to the story board but not that important as
editing the images will take most of the colour out. To access
Microsoft PowerPoint and other software the college can
provide them during lesson time. The Camera, Charger and
cards for the camera will be used in own time and personal
camera not that of the colleges.
Time: Timescales to stick to throughout the production stage.
Each section of work will be split up between each day of the
7 days given to have a controlled plan and to keep track of
the work load. Also I will make a Contingency plan should
anything occur when taking the photographs such as the
weather turning bad, Actors or actresses not available for the
photographs and if the camera breaks. The timescales will be
split up to make sure the deadline is met.
2. Health and Safety:Health and safety includes ladders to get
up the trees and to make sure props such as the ‘Axe’ is kept
in a secure location when not in use. Health and safety of me
will not be an issue as the photographs will be taken in my
own time and not in college hours when under a duty of care.
Also Health and safety of controlling the hazardous
substances that may be breathed in is not a problem as the
Photograph’s will be outside in the woods and edited on the
computers. However an issue with being on the computer for
a long period of time can be related to issues concerning DSE
(Display screen Equipment). The Health and safety can be a
concern because the workstation is associated with neck,
shoulder, back and arm pain. This will be prevented by taking
regular breaks between editing the photographs.Addressing
all the health and safety before production is important and
also aspects such as wires left on the floor when working
from home and at college on computers provided. Most of
the potential injuries can be prevented should the
procedures put in place be followed well.
