wonthe award 2years ina row!In 2011, I was awardedthe OutstandingContributionAwardatthe
Be ProudsAwardCeremony.IwasawardedthisAwardforthe EventsI do for the Youth.In February
2013, I wonthe ‘Heroes & SheroesAwardsfor2013’ for My Work in the Community.In November
2013, I wonthe ‘CommunityForce’Awardatthe Be ProudAwardsCeremonyranbythe Manchester
CityCouncil.InSeptember2014, I wonthe ‘Contributiontothe SectorManchesterSpiritAward’for
the countlessthingsI’ve done forthe communityoverthe years.InNovember2014, I wonthe
‘InspirationalManchesterCommunityGospelAward’with582 votesfromthe community.
I am a campaigner– I have beencampaigningsince 2007. I firststartedto campaignwhenthe crime
rateswere highinManchester,thiswas thenwhenIdecidedtospeakat eventstogetmy points
across to the youththat bad behaviourandviolence isnotneeded.Overthe yearsalthoughthe
crime rateshave dropped,Istill campaignonthose issuesbutI now focuson employmenttoo.
There are notenoughjobson offerforthe amountof youngpeople andadultswhoare
unemployed…andthose jobsthatare onoffer,some don’tknow aboutbecause theydon’tknow
where tofindthese suchvacancies…SoI have setup a groupon Facebookunderthe name of
‘ManchesterJobOpportunities’where Iadvertise all jobsIcome acrossinorder forthe Manchester
communitytosee andtry to get theirhandson a job.I alsooffermyservicestohelpyoungpeople
write theirCVs.Overthe yearsI have helpedmanyyoungpeople andcancount some off myhand
whohave managedto getthemselvesajobaftermy helpwithwritingtheirCV’s.
I organise tripsforthe Communityof Manchester.The aimof mytripsare to combine all different
ages,gendersandethnicitiesandtohave lovelydayoutswhere one anothercanmix,socialiseand
make newfriends.Every2monthsI book2 coachesand we visitdifferentcities. Citieswe’ve visited
are: London,Blackpool,Cheshire Oaks,StokeonTrent,Scarboroughandmany more.These tripsare
verypopularandspecial because we have all generationsinattendance and we justheadoutand
have a good day.
In September2013, I wasappointedforthe role of ‘CommunityGuardianPlus’whichisamember
that supportsandrepresentsManchesterinreportingissuesinthe Manchesterareasuchas: such as
incidentsof graffiti,vandalism, brokenstreetlightsandlitterconcerns.AlsoIwill be takingpartin
projects,helpingtoorganise local events&representingthe CommunityGuardianScheme atlarge
events.

2. I am alsoa memberof the CoOperative Trustwhichenablesschoolstoembedco-operative values
intothe longterm ethosof the schools.InFebruary2014, I wasnominatedandappointedan‘Anti-
Social BehaviourChampion’role onbehalf of the Anti-SocialBehaviourActionTeamandthe
ManchesterCityCouncil.The keyrole isto provide supporttovictimsof anti-socialbehaviourandto
supportthe buildingof the victim’sresilience andencourage reportingof anti-socialbehaviourto
relevantagenciesinordertoofferresolution.InJanuary2015, I was appointedaDirectorforLegacy
FM (formerlyknownasPeace FM) – Manchester’slicensedcommunityradiostation.
