1. Is Putrajaya a good site for a
settlement?
Use the satellite image and terrain map to answer the following questions.

i. Rate each of the factors based on whether they are good, bad or ok.
ii. Write the evidence that has helped you reach this decision.
Factor of location Rating Evidence
There’s a lot of water supply,
Water supply  because there is a lake, it rain mostly
everyday.
Its not really that safe from
flooding because, it rains everyday,
Safe from flooding  very heavy rain and also it leaves a
lot of puddle, so it may be a chance
from flooding.
I think the transportation links is
Transport links  very good, because, there are busses,
LRT’s, and monorails etc.
 There is very good building
materials and very good architecture,
Building materials  and the building materials is good
because, it is not too cold, and not
too hot.
For me I think that the protection
Protection (area for
defense)  here is excellent because, there is
really good protection, the police is
alert, and its way better than KL.
Its good because there are gas
stations everywhere, and its good
Supply of fuel  because when your out of gas you can
straight away go to the nearest gas
station.

2. Shelter  Shelter is good and the buildings
don’t get water in them.
Flat Land  It’s not really that flat, because
there a hills, mountans.
Very, very good because there is
Economic activities  a lot of malls, a lot of business
buildings.



new settlement.
