BACKGROUND
Africa Tents Ltd manufactures high quality canvas and tent products purposely designed for the
extreme conditions of Entire Africa. As part of the Montrax Group, Africa Tents products have
been tried and tested in some of the region’s toughest conditions: safari camps in the Mara; Special
Forces camps in the DRC; oil & gas company camps in Northern Kenya; and refugee camps in
Republic of South Sudan.
Every product is designed specifically to meet our clients’ requirement’s offering a unique
combination of durability and elegance aligned with the project budgets and schedules. In addition
to providing canvas solutions, the Africa Tents team are able to draw upon the corporate reach
back to owners Montrax Group to provide a range of construction and project planning,
engineering and electrical design capabilities in support of your projects.;

manufacture bespoke products in various designs, sizes and fashions. African Tents strives to be
a leading tent manufacturer in the industry and will continue to design tents for quick installations

QUALITY
Our tents are made of heavy duty canvas from India, which is retardant in very extreme weather
conditions. The PVC for the flysheet is UV treated and also fumigated against termites and other
insects. The ground sheet is made from the same material easy to clean, slippery enough to deter
crawling reptiles and other undesired insects.
We stitch using the most experienced Machinists ensuring that the tents have double seams and
the edges are strengthened for regular handing. We use heavy duty zips on the doors and the
windows to ensure longer use in quite difficult weather conditions.
PROFILE
Providing spectacular shelter solutions for every kind of event throughout Africa, we ensure that
our tents are portable and re-locatable. Simplicity in Design, Strength in Engineering will be the
hallmark of our production.
Tent frames manufactured by Africa Tents are sturdy, galvanized and designed for quick
installation and de-installation. All our frames are of superb quality and manufactured in-house.
Reinforced roofing with channeling to allow electrical works inside the tent to be hidden from
view. Outer fly-sheet made of reflective PVC creating protection from rain and sun. All tents have
double roof creates an insulation void designed to keep internal temperatures cool even in hot
weather conditions.
Our manufacturing team have been part of the Savanna Canvas family for many years and are
committed to creating the highest standard of product, every day. The tailors, with their specialised
skills, ensure that not a stitch is missed or out of line on any product.
Our machinists are part of our collaborative design team, ensuring that the framework for our tents
are stable, resilient and easy to assemble. The standard of our engineering and manufacturing is
second to none.

Africa Tents products are manufactured to deliver international standards of safety and comfort
for our clients.
1. Canvas is imported and of strong quality. We use 610 GSM Heavy duty canvas for all our
tents.
2. The PVC we use for the roof is 690 GSM and is UV treated. For the floor – 590 GSM.
These are also heavy duty and extremely durable.
3. Zips, hooks and eyelets are made from brass reducing susceptibility to rust or perishing
4. Our stitching is of the highest quality, particularly the tent corners, to prevent any moisture
leakage.
5. Tent windows are reinforced by heavy duty webbing for extra strength. The inner tent is
well ventilated by mesh windows to prevent condensation inside the tent.
6. Ground sheet is made of PVC and sealed to a height of 1 FT or 2 FT depending on the size
of the tent to prevent moisture accumulation or intrusion from crawling insects or snakes.
