1. Dear South Lyon Hotel,
Thanks so much for participating in the South Lyon Area Junior Chamber’s 2nd
Annual Bar Crawl! We are
looking forward to a fun filled night. We are sending this letter with a few details of how everything will
take place.
To start off, we would like to tell you a little bit about the South Lyon Area Junior Chamber. We are a
non-profit organization that is made up of young professionals between the ages of 21-40. Our goal is to
build leaders, focus on community involvement and give back to local charities and organizations. A few
of our big projects have been helping 20 local families with our Adopt-a-Family Christmas Program and
raising $600 to the Pelican Foundation to help a family remodel their home for their disabled child.
This year, the profits from our Bar Crawl will benefit The Riley Katheryn Foundation. The Riley Katheryn
Foundation was started earlier this year by a couple in South Lyon who had lost their twin daughter
earlier on in pregnancy. Their non-profit organization helps raise awareness for infant death and helps
cover funeral/burial costs for families in Michigan who have also suffered the loss of an infant. To learn

The Bars/Restaurants that will be participating this year include: The Witch’s Hat Brewing Company, The
South Lyon Hotel, Lake Street Tavern and the Third Monk Brewing Company. This is a walking Bar Crawl.
There will be no transportation from place to place. Each person participating in the Bar Crawl has
purchased a ticket for $20. The money collected will cover the cost of their t-shirt, drink special and
charity donation. This year’s theme is “Graffiti Party”. Everyone will be wearing a white Bar Crawl T-shirt
and sharpie markers will be provided at each stop for them to write on each other’s shirts.
The bar crawl will begin at 5pm and last till midnight. We have sold 100 tickets so please be prepared to
handle large crowds at a time. In order to help keep the flow of people moving in and out of the bars
and to help prevent each place from getting over crowded we had decided to have two locations for t-
shirt pick-up (Witch’s Hat & The Hotel). T-shirt pick-up will begin at 5pm and then people are free to
move from bar to bar in which ever order they choose. I’m expecting most people will begin at the
places they pick up their shirts and then move to Lake Street Tavern and Third Monk next. We do ask
that you have several tables reserved for participants of the Bar Crawl. We will have a member of our
Junior Chamber stop by around 4:30pm to drop off a few items for the reserved tables.
