Retreat
Leadership teams share responsibility for the company’s/organization’s success, and fundamentals that must be
managed include your employees, clients, and other stakeholders.
To cultivate the proper environment for idea sharing, brainstorming, and synergy building, it’s necessary to give careful
thought to your meeting environment.
When planning your leadership team retreat, here are tips which can greatly enhance your results.

Invite the right and effective individuals to the table
Are the key opinion leaders present, or at least represented in the planning team? Not
having your key players creates gaps in the planning and yield hard feelings that persist long
after the retreat.

Plan with purpose
Have a clear purpose in mind of what you want to accomplish
in the management retreat. Make sure the purpose is
communicated coupled with a published agenda and overview
that is distributed to retreat invitees prior to the event.

Carefully consider where you’ll meet
Choose a location that offers a conducive environment that meets your purpose. Off-site locations provide an
ideal way to get everyone out of the office and away from daily interruptions, but ensure the site is convenient
and safe for everyone.

Consider bringing in an objective external professional facilitator to help increase efficiency and make the day run
