Cop shows will always be popular to the American
masses. Over the years, the genre has come out with
several subgenres including procedurals and cop shows
that include courtroom dramas. However, Netflix has
released a show unlike any before it – “Mindhunter.”

“Mindhunter” follows the exploits of a budding FBI agent,
as he seeks to unlock the formula of a serial killer’s
mind. As such, he goes around the country investigating
historical murder cases, and even visits the killers
themselves (portrayed by various amazing actors) in
jarring, unsettling scenes, which detail the
gruesomeness of the crimes.
The series is a deep psychological dive into the darkest
parts of the most disturbed human beings in modern
history. Interview dialogues are taken from actual
interviews done with the historical serial killers, and
recount everything from a childhood wrecked by trauma
and abuse, to the first murder.
This is more than a show about the FBI, or the police, or
the grand jury. It’s more than mere entertainment. There
is a real educational value to be had if one takes and
understands the series on a deeper level. On that deeper
